There's something about the driving rhythm that reaches right down into the depths of our souls, and brings out our animals nature. For some it's just music that gets their heartrate up, for others it's a shamanistic dive into the psychedelic lights and writhing body that brings about an altered state irrespective of any chemical influence.

World Techno Day is dedicated to bringing more people into the world of techno, to discover this music and the places deep within us that can be touched and brought to life by embracing our vibrant nature. The genre is limitless in its depth, are you?

History of World Techno Day

World Techno Day is a celebration of all the uhn-tis you can handle, and so the date was selected to honor the creation of this driving musical form. Juan Atkins was born on Dec 9, 1962, and was part of the Belleville Three, so named because of their time together in Belleville, Michigan. Along with being one of the major vehicle manufacturers in the world, it's also recognized as the birthplace of techno.

Since its inception, it has grown from a single musical style into an expansive category covering variations that frankly couldn't have been conceived of at its creation. Older musical styles have been rebirthed through sampling and mixing into configurations that make them relevant in today's musical theater while remaining nostalgic. No matter where it comes from, it's all alive, and all relevant, even video game music has been incorporated, and it.. is... fantastic.

It's not at all unusual for this genre to be used for revolutionary aims, not necessarily to overthrow government, but to challenge the concepts of what is socially acceptable, what we are and what we are expected to be. Techno will reach into your inner truth and drag it screaming into the light.

Get out there and get your dance on! That's the first and best way to celebrate this revolutionary musical style. There is a huge spectrum of music for you to explore all underneath the Techno umbrella, and all of it will get your feet moving.

Even better, if you have any creative inclination, get in and make your own! The concept behind techno is fairly simple, but from simplicity has come infinite complexity. There are tutorials and programs that can make the creation of techno an absolute cinch, and while it may start off with the chopsticks' equivalent, with practice and inspiration you can create amazing works of heart-pounding art.

Corruption could be one of the biggest tragedies of mankind for the simple reason that it is ongoing and extremely difficult to combat, forcing the poor into ever more hopeless conditions while the select few in power get ever richer and more powerful. Bribes prevent chosen criminals from ever having to take responsibility for what they've done, politicians employ all of their cronies as as soon as the get into office, police officers cooperate with drug dealers, and anyone who dares object is either blackmailed into silence or "mysteriously disappears. As of 2014, some of the most corrupted countries in the world are Haiti, Iraq, North Korea, Venezuela, Somalia and Afghanistan.

History of International Anti-Corruption Day

International Anti-corruption Day was launched on October 9th 2003 by the General Assembly of the United Nations as a way of raising awareness of corruption and highlighting the role of the United Nations Convention against Corruption in combating and preventing it. The official reason given by the UN for creating this day is that it was "concerned about the seriousness of problems and threats posed by corruption to the stability and security of societies, undermining the institutions and values of democracy, ethical values and justice and jeopardizing sustainable development and the rule of law. Since the day was first held, the day's organisers, the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, say intolerance towards corruption has grown. This is evidenced by the increasing number of politicians and chief executives who are being tried and convicted for the crime.

We all have them in our lives, those friends that are loyal to the end, that want nothing from us but love and the occasional meal. We are, of course, talking about our animal friends, the scaly fish that swim in the tank, the purring fur-ball that awaits us at the door each day and does everything in its power to prevent us from getting anything productive done, and the wagging tail waiting to join us on the morning jog. What would our lives be without pets in them? A lot less. International Day of Veterinary Medicine dedicates itself to recognizing the field of medicine that keeps our friends alive, and the people who practice it.

History of International Day of Veterinary Medicine

The International Day of Veterinary Medicine lauds those companies and organizations like the American Veterinary Medicine Association that work every year not just to promote the development of veterinary medicine, but to ensure that information is made available to pet owners like you that will enable you to make the best choices for them.
