i haven't seen this serial from beginning barring few scenes here and there while remote surfing ages back. so correct me if i got the childhood bits wrong. relying on my a little rusty memory.)
Vivaan, Chakor and Suraj:
1. a little girl who has been caged wants to breakfree hence she hoodwinks a kind boy who is her friend into opening that cage and she soars and flee. and he declares her dhookebaaz and breaks the friendship and crucifies her for that act of hers.
Chakor and Vivaan.
that's how Vivaan sees the world. his version of black and white. grey doesn't exist for him.
had it been Suraj in that scenario he would have either bullied her, punished her for her defiance or admired her spunk.
for he sees both black and white. and grey. and shades of grey in the world and the people. and he reacts accordingly.
2. during a race against Chakor Suraj deliberates falls down for he knows turning her back on the ones who need her goes against her grain. she will stop and help him for sure.. and thereby will lose the race.
he knows her.
but unfortunately for him.. she knows him too. she sees through his facade and the little girl ignores him and goes and wins herself the race.
Vivaan, Imli, her maai, bapu, the entire village who claims to love her are forever ready to lynch her at her involuntary, deliberate and imaginary slips. no one gives her a benefit of doubt.
but there is one man who knows her for what she is.. and what she could do and what she never will.. that is Suraj.
her archenemy. a foe from hell right from her childhood knows her way better than her own people.
he just knows her inside out.
3. Suraj dealt her with a harsh hometruth.
Vivaan left her because she cares for the whole wide world.
that actually happens to be the truth.
Vivaan has got this definition of boundary. the boundary in which his life is limited and he is happy about it. the gates of his own home. that's it.
whatever happens beyond those gates is not exactly his concern. his own little home. and he is content.
Chakor's boundaries are boundless. limitless. all encompassing. She is meant to soar and reach the skies and help little or big entity she may encounter in this course of her adventurous journey.
Her loving and giving capacity is beyond his comprehension.
because she is simply that force of nature. because her personality is that soaring. he wouldn't have handled that force for he is too limited.
Suraj on the other hand is a force of nature himself. a league of his own. he won't mind if she goes and saves the world. he may step in if and when she needs him but otherwise he is not the one to either stop or get overwhelmed with her 'udaan'.
someday he will fall in love with her. and so will she with him. that day he would want to be the centre of her universe.
even then he won't change a hair on her head as long HE is her beginning and the end. she can encompass the whole world in the middle he won't mind.
she should start and end with him. no two ways about it. he will make her his centre of universe and he will settle for nothing less than being the centre of her own universe.
but for that he won't turn her into what she is not.. a perfect being.
Vivaan wants to turn imli into his idea of perfect being. imli after being in the company of a dark knight for so long thinks of this new guy in her life as a white prince. she has no solid characteristics of her own. she is forever in confusion and conflict. slowly she will try to be that perfect being. or she may not.
every human being can be defined by one of the four elements of the nature depending on their characteristics.
Earth, Water, Air and Fire.
Vivaan is water. not the free flowing river coursing along with grit to discover new seas and oceans. he is just a little pond in the garden which beautifies the garden and is in happy space of its own. life is limited to that.
Imli has simply no strong steady personality of her own.
together they will do good.
Suraj and Chakor on the other hand:
Chakor is Fire. Nurturing when Serene. powerful when she is in her element. imposing, sublime... unmatchable.
Suraj is Air: constantly evolving. forever in flow. calm and soothing when he is serene. destructive as Hell's Angel when raging.
intriguing part is rest of elements can be destructive on their own accord.
Air on the other hand manipulates the other elements and wreaks havoc that he choose to unleash.
Classic Suraj.
but together they are perfect.
Air and Fire.
Fire can't survive without air. and only Fire can destroy that air.
they are each other's strengths.. and vulnerability.
and hence need balance to survive.
Try mixing water or earth with fire... result will be pile of ashes.
or fire may destroy them both.
ONLY Suraj can handle the fire that Chakor is.
and ONLY Chakor can take on the force that Suraj is.
together they are beauty.
together they are meant to be.
together they are perfection.
they are NOT perfect entities by a long shot. neither Chakor is. and most definitely Suraj isn't.
yet they are perfect together.
because they are PERFECT FOR EACHOTHER.
