Story of episode 51 -23 Nov US/17 Nov Ind

• Shiv assures Parvati that the date of Ravan's destruction is near. Meghnad is shown and it is mentioned that he defeated lord Indra.
• Chandranakha flirts with Lakshman but Lakhsman rejects her.
• She reaches Ravan's court and is crying. She tells Ravan that Ram and Lakshman are responsible for her condition.
• On Ravan's order, Marich takes the form of a golden-deer.
• Sita is thrilled on seeing the golden deer and asks Ram to bring the deer for her.
• Ram shoots an arrow on the deer. Marich calls out to Lakshman for help. He speaks in Ram's voice. Sita asks Lakshman to go and help Ram. Lakshman understands that it could not be Ram because he knows Ram's valour well. He says that same to Sita. But Sita says that she is suspicious of Lakshman. Lakshman is hurt to see this. He draws a circle around their small house and tells Sita that she would be safe inside the circle.
• When Lakshman goes in search of Ram, then Ravan comes to Sita disguised as a brahmin. Sita gives him alms. He is not ready to take alms unless Sita comes out of the circle. Sita comes out. Ravan forcibly catches her and takes her towards Lanka on his flying chariot.
• Ram and Lakshman are searching for Sita.
• Vulture king Jatayu tries to free Sita. But Ravan cuts Jatayu's wing.

Parvati expresses her apprehensions over Ravan's atrocities to Shiv.
Parvati - I cannot bear this any more. All the three worlds are trembling because of Ravan's atrocities. That day is not far when he will come even to Kailash with his army.
Shiv - One cannot think straight when his time has come. This is what has happened with Ravan.
Parvati - Are you waiting for his destruction? Do you want to see the destruction of the abode of gods before his destruction?
Shiv - I am waiting for the right time.
Parvati - But how long will you wait? You said that you had already found a solution.
Shiv - I was right.
Parvati - But the boys from Ayodhya whom you mentioned are mere children. Ravan will become like death and he will destroy the entire universe. Shiv-Time cannot be bound. It does not take long for circumstances to change. The wheel of time never stops. Just keep watching.

Narrator explains lots of incidents in just a few lines as follows:-
"After finishing their education, Ram and Lakshman come to Janakpuri for to attend the test of breaking Shiv's bow. They participate in Sita's swyamvar. Ram is successful in breaking Shiv's bow and marries Janak's daughter Sita. When they return to Ayodhya, then preparations are made for Ram's royan coronation. But destiny had something else in store. As a result of Kaikeyee's foresight, Ram is exiled for 14 years. In Lanka Ravan and his accomplices' plans of expansion become disastrous. On the other hand, Ram and Lakshman wander in forests for years and they kill many demons in Dandak and Naimishrayan, thus protecting humanity. They reach Panchvati."
(So sad. The incidents which should have been shown in several episodes are covered in just a few minutes.)

Ram and Lakshman are doing puja. Chandranakha sees them.
She thinks - These are Ayodhya kumars, who can fulfill my wish for revenge.
She remembers how Ravan killed whom she loved.
She thinks - Brother Lankesh, you destroyed my dreams. Now it is my turn. I have found a complete man.
(Popular versions say that Chandranakha was enamoured of Ram and Lakshman. Here it is shown that she wanted to take revenge upon Ravan and she knew that Ram and Lakshman were strong enough to defeat Ravan. Anyway, may be this is also present in some version.)
Ram - Lakshman, I am going towards Panchvati. Keep flowers ready for worship.
Lakshman - Yes, brother.
Lakshman collects flowers. Chandranakha comes and flirts with him.
Chandranakha - Before you ask my introduction, I will introduce myself. You can call me beloved because I love you. I want to give this love a name.
Lakshman - Meaning?
Chandranakha laughs - How innocent you are! You do not understand even this much? I want to marry you. I want to enjoy every happiness of life with you. You will be blessed to get me and I will be blessed to get you.
Chandranakha hugs Lakshman. Lakshman pushes her away.
Lakshman - Your proposal is fine, but I have to talk to my brother in this regard.(Does it mean that you are interested? What about your wife Urmila?😛)
Chandranakha - Brother? He has sent me to you.
She again hugs him and Lakshman pushes her away.
Lakshman - What are you doing?
Chandranakha notices that Lakshman's finger is bleeding. She takes his finger in her mouth. Lakshman forcibly pulls his finger out of her mouth.
Chandranakha - Did you not like my touch?
Lakshman - I do not like useless talks. I have to go quickly.
Chandranakha - Then, what do you like? Do you like playing in water? Come, we will play.
She pulls him.
Lakshman - Do not make me angry. You do not know who I am.
Chandranakha - I know you but you do not know who I am. I am Chandranakha, the only sister of world-conquerer Lankesh. Today, I will marry you and break all bonds.
Lakshman - Move away. Do not tarnish the name of that world-conquerer brother of yours.

Lakshman goes from there. Chandranakha smiles. (I did not like her acting here. It was over-acting.)

In Lanka, people are singing the glories of Ravan's son Meghnad.
Ravan - He is Indrajeet. He has defeated my old enemy, Indra.
(The war between Meghnad and Indra should have been shown. But it was not.)
Prahast - Now he has become Indrajeet Meghnad.
Ravan - Indrajeet has done what even the strongest could not do. He has put Indra in dire straits.
Kumbhkaran - On this occasion, there should be celebrations all over Lanka. Royal treasury should be opened and gold coins should be distributed among subjects.
Meghnad - By defeating Indra, I have contributed towards increasing the respect for Lanka. I do not consider it a great achievement.
Prahast - This is your greatness, Meghnad.
Ravan's uncles praise Meghnad.

Chandranakha comes crying. Ravan is shocked to see her condition.
Ravan - Who has done this to you? Tell me.
Chandranakha - There is nothing left to say. I am ruined. They are Dashrath's sons Ram and Lakshman. I want to see their dead bodies.
Kumbhkaran and Ravan's uncles ask for permission to attack Ram and Lakshman. Ravan picks up his weapon and comes out of the palace. He calls out to Marich.
Ravan - I know very well that you are hiding somewhere here because of fear of death. Come before me. May be I will forgive you. Otherwise, your death is cetain.

Marich comes out of hiding.
Marich - Please forgive me. I am unable to serve you.
Ravan - Do not talk like cowards. I have come here not to punish you but for a special task. I want to take revenge from the forest dwellers whom you fear so much.
Marich - Please do not do it. They are not humans but power personified. They hit Subahu such a way that he feel 100 yards away. Do not make enmity with them.
Ravan hits Marich.
Ravan - Stop blabbering and do not dare to advise Ravan. Else, you know the consequences. They are Ravan's bitther enemies. It is impossible for Ravan's enemies to survive. They killed my brothers Khar and Dushan and tarnished the honour of my sister Chandranakha. I cannot let them be alive. I will kill them with my own hands. But at present, I have come here for a special task. You have to help me in that.
Marich holds Ravan's feet.
Marich - No, do not give me orders against them.
Ravan - Fine, then you also have no right to live.
Marich thinks - It is better to be killed by them than by this person.
Marich - No, please do not kill me. I will do as you say. Tell me what I have to do.
Ravan explains something to Marich.

In Panchvati, Sita teases Lakshman over Chandranakha. Ram laughs hearing their talk: -
Sita - But what did she want? Did she really want to marry?
Laskhman - No, no.
Sita - Do not tell a lie. Your brother was saying that you were so attracted by her beauty that you said you were ready for such exile for the whole life and not just 14 years.
Lakshman - Bhabhi, I rejected her.
Sita - Do not worry. When I go back to Ayodhya, then I will not say anything to Urmila. Now, who will tell the son of Sumitra(Lakshman) that it is improper to reject a girl's love.
Lakshman - You do not leave any option for me. She was expressing her love. She wanted to marry me as if it was her right. She flirted with me. I got angry. So, I scolded her a little.
Sita - That was her love. You did not understand her feelings.
Lakshman - I understood bhabhi. That is why I scolded her. Only by name, she was Chandranakha (nails like moon). By behaviour she was surpnakha (nails like winnower).
Ram, Sita and Lakshman laugh. Sita notices a golden deer and she is excited.
Lakshman - Brother, is it a trickster?
Sita - What a beautiful deer. I have never seen a golden deer before.
Ram - I have also never seen such a deer before.
Lakshman again says that it could be a trickster.
(Very intelligent Lakshman.👏)
Sita - Please bring it to me. I want to see it.
Ram - But where will I run behind it? Let it go.
Sita pleads - We will not get the chance to see it again. You have to bring it.
Ram - OK. Lakshman, stay here till I come back. There is always danger of wild animals here.
(Oops these wives! When they know that their husbands love them dearly then they make their husbands do anything as per their wish.😆)
Ram chases the golden deer and shoots an arrow at it. The golden deer was Marich, who had taken the form of a deer using his magical powers. When he is hit with the arrow, then he comes back to his original form.

Marich (in Ram's voice) - Lakshman, save me. Brother, come quickly. Save me.
Sita - This is your brother's voice. Go to him without delay. He must be in some danger.
Lakshman - I am also hearing the voice. But I do not believe.
Sita - Whether you believe or not, I believe. This is not the time to argue.
Lakshman - Bhabhi, I can go straight away on your orders. But brother has said not to leave you alone. Moreover, this place is not safe.
Sita - I will tolerate any pain. Do not worry about me. But if something happens to him, then I will not be able to survive.
Lakshman - Bhabhi, do not worry about brother. No one can harm him. Wait a while. He will come back.
Sita - Do not force me to go myself. Are you going against my orders? Are you not worried about your elder brother? Go quickly. Now I have suspicions on you.
Lakshman is hurt.😕
(It is quite natural to get hurt over this remark considering how devoted he is to his brother and his sister-in-law.
However, it is quite natural for Sita to become worried.)

Lakshman - Bhabhi, by saying this, you have left nothing to say. You have hurt me by questioning my loyalty. On your command, I will go right away. But you please go in.
Sita goes inside. Lakshman draws a circle around her.
Lakshman - This is Lakshman line. This will protect you. You are safe inside it. I am going.

Ram comes near Marich.
Ram - Who are you? Why have you taken this illusory form?
Marich - I deserve your mercy. I am Marich. I became a part of this sin on his command. A terrible thing is going to happen. Go quickly and save her.
Lakshman reaches there.
Ram - Why did you come here? What was the need to leave Sita alone and come here?
Lakshman - Brother, you called me.
Ram - No Lakshman. That was this trickster Marich's voice.

Ravan sees Sita. He disguises himself as a Sadhu. He notices the line made by Lakshman. When he puts an object near that line, then it catches fire.
Ravan - Who are you, devi? Are you goddess Lakshmi? Are you somebody like Parvati, who destroys all evils? I think that you are some devi who lives with gods, gandharvas and rudras.
Sita thinks - Is he a sage or an imposter? If he is a sage, then am I committing a mistake by not answering his questions? I should not suspect him.
Ravan - Will this brahmin have to go empty handed from your door? Will you not give him alms?
Sita - Wait, sage. This is not the case. My husband and brother in law are not here. That is why.
Ravan - You are suspecting a sadhu. If you do not want to give alms, then this brahmin will return empty-handed.
Sita - Please wait. I will bring.
Sita brings alms for Ravan. She does not come out of the circle.
Sita - Please take this.
Ravan - Will you give the alms by throwing? Are these your morals? Just now you said that your husband and brother-in-law are not at home. Am I so immoral that I will come inside your house? If you want to give alms, then come closer and give.
Sita comes out. Ravan catches her.😭
Ravan - I did not come here to become a guest. I came here to take the revenge of my sister's insult.
(It is your sister's fault.😡 If you still want to take revenge, then fight with Ram and Lakshman face to face. Rather than kidnapping Sita when they are not present there.)
Sita - Do not commit this grave sin. You cannot take me away like a thief. Leave me. He will kill you.
Ravan - I have conquered the three worlds. Nobody can defeat me.
Sita keeps crying and calling out to Ram and Lakshman. But Ravan forcibly takes her with him.

In Ayodhya, Kaikeyee's messenger meets her.
Kaikeyee - What news do you have?
Messenger - Janak's daughter Sita has been kidnapped.
Kaikeyee - How are my sons?
Messenger - They are searching her.

Kaikeyee sends a message to Ram and Lakshman:-
"My dear brave sons,
Do not repent over what has happened. Whoever has done this cruel act has invited his death. Have faith in yourself. Behind every inauspiciousness, something auspicious is hidden. Sita's kidnapping will bring something good. You will be successful.
My blessings are with you."

Ram reads the message and asks the messenger to give regards to Kaikeyee. Then Lakshman reads the message.
Lakshman - Mother Kaikeyee has always encouraged us.
Ram - This is her affection. This affection will help us search for Sita.

Ravan is taking Sita towards Lanks in his flying Pushpak chariot. Sita is calling out to Ram and Lakshman.
Ravan - Nobody will come.
Sita - My husband will surely come.
Ravan - If he does not fear for his life, then he will come.
(Oh really! If you are so brave, then you should have tried to take Sita with you when Ram and Lakshman were with her.😡 You made Ram go away from her. Then, you also made Lakshman go away from her. This means that you are not confident of facing either of them.)

Jatayu sees Ravan taking Sita away by force. He attacks Ravan. But Ravan cuts his wing and Jatayu drops down on the Earth.😭)

Such a long leap is not justified. What happened to Ravan's daughter. We have read that it is Sita. But it should be shown in the serial. The makers should not assume that the viewers already know the story, especially when they are showing story different from popular versions. If they did not want to explain Sita's birth, then they should not have shown Sita's birth and the background story to it. To be more specific, they should not have shown the following if they did not want to explain Sita's birth:-
By now showing the above, the makers of the serial could have saved lots of episodes and use these episodes for some other purpose.

Some very important incidents were not shown; only the narrator mentioned those in a few sentences. They are:-

It can be argued that the leap was required because of the limited number(perhaps 52) of the allotted episodes. But the makers muse have been aware of the number of episodes allotted. They should have planned the story accordingly so that a good, consistent story could be shown in these episodes.
If they really showed the story well, then may be Zee would have allowed them more episodes.

Thansk for the wonderful update. I didn't know anything about Ravan defore and was keen on watching to gain insight but am very disappointed as to the ways the creatives have taken the show to show bits and pieces nad to disregard important facts. Very disappointing.

Yes, there is no proper flow in the serial. BTW, if you want to know anything about Ravan or any story from our scriptures (Ramayan, Mahabharat, Puranas), then you can ask me.😊

Hi Can someone please give me link to the full video of this episode...I see half of this episode but rest of the video is not there?.
