I really liked the movie but the first half was the best imo, the friends bonding, their ups and downs made the movie and even without bunny- Naina love story, it would have been a beautiful story.

This was the movie in which Deepika impressed me with her acting chops. Till that time I thought she was just a glorified flowerpot ( I had not seen cocktail). Her acting and the way her body language also communicated her introverted nature (another reviewer I thing it was B Rangan also who pointed this out) was very good. She held the movie together more so than Ranbir. Ranbir somehow didn't impress that much. ARK, I thought was v.good as was Kalki.
Loved all the songs and the way it was picturized. Felt the ending was a bit too sudden. Somehow couldn't get on board bunny's sudden change of heart. But yes a good movie nevertheless.

It's still, by leaps and huge miles, my favorite RK movie. Ayan is a god-damn talented director. WUS and YJHD are such great, great movies. They have the Bollywood filmy-wala touch, and yet they're modern and grounded with so much to learn from and showing relatable relationships and experiences.

More than that RK, I miss Ayan. Bring him back to making more movies. Dharma has excellent directors. Karan should stop making movies and let these kids like Gauri, Ayan handle it more.

I love the whole movie, but let's say some favorite scenes (in that very order) -

1) The whole way Bunny tells Naina she's a full time hindi film hero after catching her reading at the camp. What expressions by both of them!

2) Aditi and Bunny talking about being with someone and everything feels right at her wedding.

3) Bunny going back home to his step mother.

4) Naina and Bunny discussing the difference in their lives and ending quote at the sunset point. Brilliant piece of dialogues that whole 5-10 mins!

I m in minority who likes second half much more than first half
Love all Bunny avi, Bunny aditi and avi aditi scenes in second half
Bunny avi fighting and making up for aditi.. then I love how after dilliwali girlfriend song they genuinely hug and Bunny says sorry..
Bunny avi scene where avi says he has seen. All bunny's shows and Bunny asking him how can he help
All scenes between Bunny and his dad
Bunny naina in the car where he tells abt his dad's death.
Ending scene.. Bunny proposing and new year phone call..

I have to add.. I love the deleted scenes from the second half between Bunny naina.
