The effect that violence has is very subjective. Not everyone who has suffered violence ends up like maya. There are way too many factors involved...the type of violence, the genetic makeup of the person, the family traits, the surrounding...everything has an equally important role. Like ani said in her post, u either come out of it, or u allow urself to be taken away n succumb to it. Maya unfortunately belongs to the latter.

Yup that's the most enchanted thing about Maya.. attracts.. me..despite all odds she has build up an empire..of her own..that too at 25 years age...

And have made her own dignity reputation.. that's the most important thing..she didn't let anything to hold her down..
