Today itself I said, I quit from writing and again posting the update.. Silly me..! But hope you'll enjoy.


Chapter 2


It was a fine morning, as usual Ishita finished her household works and then left for her hospital. She was climbing down the stairs when her eyes caught Ruhi who was sitting on the stairs. Ishita approached to her and seats beside her but it seemed like Ruhi wasn't aware about her presence. Ishita followed her gaze when she saw one kid was going school with her parents. Ishita felt pain seeing Ruhi and saw a tear fall down from Ruhi's eyes. Ishita captured the drop on her finger, "Arey..!"

Ruhi looked at her when Ishita continued looking at her finger, "Tears, why are you flowing out from Ruhi's beautiful eyes? You know Ruhi looks very ugly with tears." Ishita looked up at Ruhi and saw her crying, Ishita instantly pulled her for a hug.

"Ishita aunty.. I want my mumma.. Where's she? You know I never seen her. My friend's have their mumma, they said mumma loves them so much, she helped them in studies and she tells them bed time stories. I also want to be with my mumma..!" Ruhi cried.

Ishita was helpless, she could feel her pain but she had no medicine to heal it. "Rooh..!" She made Ruhi face her and wiped her tears saying, "Rooh, I really don't know where's your mumma but you know what.. I know she is in your heart and if your mumma see you crying, she will be hurt. Stop crying..! And you have Papa, he loves you chotu."

"But he lives away from me always.." Little Ruhi said disappoint.

"Hmm..! That's true. Okay.. I will scold him, I will ask him to be here with his Ruhi. Okay?" She said caressing Ruhi's cheek.

"Does he listen?"

"He has to listen... After all it's about Ruhi.."

"I miss him so much Ishita aunty." Ruhi hugged Ishita when she caressed Ruhi's hair and placed a soft kiss, "Ruhi craves for her parents love.." Ishita thought.

For next few days, Raman was hell busy that he couldn't talk with Ruhi but Ruhi was missing him badly so every hour she tried to call her father but Raman avoid her and that disappoint her. On a such day, Toshiji, Mr Bhalla and rest of family members left for their respective works, Ruhi was alone with Neelu, she was studying when she solved a math without anyone's help and she got so excited. She wanted to share her happiness with her father so she called Raman, "Hello papa.. You know today..."

But Ruhi could say anything before Raman burst, "Enough Ruhi.. How many times I need to remind you don't call me.. You know here I am not sitting idle, I am busy.. I have works, so don't call me until I call you back. Do you get me?"

Ruhi got horrified, she hung up the call and cried badly. No one ever talked with her in such way, not even Raman, it really hurt her. She cried and suddenly she started coughing and felt difficult to take breath, she collapsed on floor.. She had no strength to call anyone but thankfully that time Neelu walked in her room and saw her in such condition. "Ruhi.. Ruhi..!" But she didn't response, scared Neelu ran to their opposite door for help.

Ishita opened the door and saw crying Neelu, "What happen?" She asked worried.

"Ruhi.. Ruhi baby..!"

Ishita didn't waste another second, she ran to Bhalla house. Ishita walked in Ruhi's room and saw her lying on the floor, Ishita sat beside her and tried to wake her up. She checked her nerves, "I have to shift her in hospital immediately." She said to Neelu and about to lift Ruhi when she saw the phone was ringing beside Ruhi.

Ishita saw Raman's name showing, she picked the call to inform him but before she could say, she heard Raman saying, "I am sorry Ruhi.. I shouldn't react like this. You know na Papa is busy these days and you called me during my meeting and..."

"I am Dr. Ishita speaking Mr Bhalla..!"

"What are you doing there? Where's my daughter?" Raman asked worried.

"Do you really care for your daughter? I don't think so... Anyways, I haven't much time to argue with you. Ruhi is unconscious, I am taking her in my hospital.. You inform your family, no one is present at your place." Saying this she hang up the call and left with Ruhi and Neelu.

City Hospital,

Ishita was treating Ruhi in ICU, after an hour, Ishita relieved seeing the monitor as it became normal. She asked nurse to look after her and she left the cabin before kissing Ruhi on her forehead. Once Ishita walked out, she saw Bhalla family, she assured them and about to leave when she heard Raman's voice, "How's Ruhi?"

Ishita's blood boiled, she walked to him and slapped him on his face making everyone shocked.

"Oye..! Why did you slap my son?" Toshiji shouted.


"You should ask this to your son. He might know the reason, isn't Mr Raman Bhalla?" Ishita furiously looked at him.

"What did you mean?" Toshiji asked.

"Do you know Mrs Bhalla.. Who is responsible for Ruhi's such health?" She angrily looked at Raman and said, "Your business man puttar.. Who knows how to crack a deal but doesn't know how to treat with his 4years old daughter."

"Raman what is she saying?" Toshiji glared at him.

"You know Mr Bhalla, Ruhi deserve best. You aren't worthy of her." She said disgusted, "Do you know how much your daughter missed you..! She met me few days back asking about her mother. I don't know where's she and I really don't want to know but I know Ruhi needs love. She was telling me, how much she missed her father but unfortunately her father has no time for her." Feeling Ruhi's pain, Ishita's eyes filled with tears, she wiped them, "I am sorry, I shouldn't slap you but I couldn't control myself. You all know about Ruhi's condition then how can you all be careless. Ruhi's only medicine is love and care, please.. I request you, please don't avoid her. She is.." Ishita looked at Ruhi through the glass window, "She is special.. Bohot mushkil se aise bschhe milte hai, don't loose her." Saying this, Ishita left from there before she broke. Everyone amazed seeing Ishita's love for Ruhi.

Other hour passed, Ishita checked her and now Ruhi's condition is stable than before. She was inside the cabin when Raman walked in, Ishita looked on. "Can.. Can I stay here with her?" Ishita nodded. Raman walked to her and sits beside Ruhi. He caressed her hair lovingly when Ishita felt she should give them privacy, so she was about to leave when she heard sobbing, she turned back and saw Raman with tears in his eyes, she couldn't resist herself but walked to him.

"I am sorry. I should behave with Ruhi politely." He apologized looking down. "If something happened with her today, I wouldn't forgive myself forever. Ruhi was 2 months when her mother, Shagun left us for other man and we divorced each other. After that, I am his only mother and father but my works never allowed me spend time with my daughter, I had to travel every now and then but whatever I did.. I did for my family.. for my daughter.. To secure her future but.. But I never thought, my actions will take my daughter away from me."

"It's okay Mr Bhalla.. Ruhi is fine now." Ishita said forwarding a glass of water to him. Then she turned to leave when Raman said, "Thank you... To make me realize my mistake."

"If you really realize, please don't repeat it again." She said with a slight smile on her face.

Next morning, Ruhi woke up from her sleep and saw Ishita standing beside her. "How are you feeling chotu? You know, you slept more than 12 hours.. My sleepy head." She poked on Ruhi's nose. But Ruhi seemed sad, so Ishita tried to cheer her up saying, ".. And you know what Rooh, I have a surprise for you. See..! Who came to meet with you."

Ruhi looked at the door when Raman walked in but seeing him, Ruhi didn't react anything. She looked away other side. Raman walked to her and said, "Ruhi, how are you?"

"Ishita aunty.. Please tell him, I don't want to talk with him."

"Ruhi, papa is sorry." Raman said holding his ears but Ruhi looked away. Raman knew, his daughter went on him, it's tough work to woo her but he is her father, he won't give up easily. Raman silently walked out.

"Rooh, Papa is sorry na..! Then?" Ishita asked.

"It's his punishment."

Ishita chuckled and asked the nurse to shift Ruhi in normal cabin. Then Ishita fed Ruhi and gave her medicines, then took her to other cabin.

Ishita walked in the cabin along with Ruhi who was sitting on the wheelchair. "Wow..!" Ishita exclaimed seeing the decorated cabin.

"See Ruhi.. Isn't it beautiful?" Ishita asked when Ruhi was about to say something but she heard Raman saying, "Of course.. After all Ruhi loves balloons."

Ruhi looked at Raman with sad face and again looked at the decorations where she saw every balloon has written Sorry.

"Ishita aunty is there another room available?"

Raman looked on disappointed but Ishita gave him assuring smile. "Sorry Rooh, but only this room is available in child section."

Ruhi didn't say anything when the nurse settled her on the bed. Raman approached to her and again apologized but Ruhi didn't melted. Raman sings for forgiveness,

I am sorry mere pyaare jaane do..
Hota hai chhodo bhi jaane do..

He tried to touch Ruhi's face but she looked away, Raman sadly stepped back and silently walked out, but after a while he walked in wearing a joker musk and danced crazily singing,

Raman did every possible way to woo his daughter and finally Ruhi laughed,

Raman hold his ears singing...

I am sorry baba sorry jaane do

But Ruhi removed his hands from his ears and hugged him..

"I am sorry Rooh.. I promise, I won't scold you ever, Ruhi promise." Raman said placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

"But I want another promise..!" Ruhi demanded.

"Yes tell me.."

"Papa please don't go anywhere now.. I really missed you when you weren't around me. Promise me Papa, from now you will stay with us forever." Ruhi said forwarding her tiny hands. Raman looked at Ishita for once and smiled at Ruhi saying, "Ruhi promise, Papa will be with Ruhi forever." Ruhi excitedly hugged Raman when Ishita was going to leave as finally father - daughter reconcile but Ruhi held her hand saying, "Don't go aunty.." Ishita smiled and sat beside Ruhi when Ruhi pulled Raman Ishita for a hug...

Toshiji does not like Ishita !!
Ishita keeps lecturing Raman to spend more time with Ruhi!!!
He ignores her!!!!

Ruhi solve a maths question by her self and gets excited and call her Papa but he shouts at her and cuts the call!!!
Ruhi gets upset and starts coughing and collapses!!
Neelu calls Ishita and she takes her to the hospital!!!
Raman calls back to apologise and Ishita answers and she shouts back at him for not caring about Ruhi!!!

Ruhi in hospital - family comes there and so does Raman!!!
Ishita slaps Raman and shouts at him and the family!!!
Half the solution to Ruhi's health is to get care and love from her family especially her Papa but he is too busy with his business!!!

Finally Ruhi is out of intensive care - Raman tries to woo her but she is stubborn like her Papa!!!
Loved the IshraRu hug at the end!!!
