After the generation leap...Yeh rishta has started a fresh story of a couple Naira and Karthik...ofcourse now it has given a chance to the makers to explore a complete new story and it may have alot more to offer...Any story can go a long way experimenting different shades of a couple's journey if the actors/ couple is well accepted by the audience.Till now the show has not been able to create magic with the new couple.. trp 's in the range of 1.9 -2 .4 is considered pretty much below average.The show should atleast touch 3 to be considered successful .To be honest every channel or production house starts considering a show an average success when it gets atleast a 3 trp ... hitting 4 is considered a hit fully..Now coming back to Akshara and Naitik...when they both were introduced they also were very new ..but as their story and chemistry clicked instantly the show managed to go this far .Recently there was even an article saying yeh rishta got extended which means they were planning to shut it down ?What is the future of the show , only time will tell.
Tbh no show in any channel is touching trp of 3 or 4 due to too many channels and its more or less like dividing if votes in election goes for trp too..too many shows at d same time n audience shopping of serials.. while ekta serials full of negativity r getting more trps probably due to aunties liking rotlu heroines n ypungsters liking all those exposing vulgar wardrobe of characters in d name of fashion..
Kaira as couple managed to create the magic naitik akshara created back in 2009. Well its evident with trps remaining stable inspite of hina not being there for almost a week long episodes...for a show full of positivity this trp is great as of now..
We dont want the makers to drag d show for 8 more years but show us kaira story evolve as it had been evolving since may 2016..

And bold.. the show was not under scanner . It was few online sites that spread d rumor of extension.. basically meenu masi got scrapped hence d frustration of sanaya irani fandom lead to those baseless rumors n articles..
As for.now shows under scanner will b all those cheap shows dt air between 5 30 and 7
