Decoding! Arjun Kapoor & Varun Dhawan's performance of the controversial KWK couch

The third episode of Koffee With Karan season 5 aired today and Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan took to the controversial couch! However, we were a tad bit disappointed by the two young men, who were veering towards diplomacy and opted to play safe on the celebrated talk show. But hey, it's not as if the humour or candour was missing, we did have our share of a few laughs, so we are listing the best (and the snoozefest) moments from Karan Johar's KWK!

Brothers from another mother

KJo, as he is known to unabashedly ask some not-so-easy questions, asked Arjun-Varun about their friendship, as if it was the real deal, the reason that why they were not-in-touch for a certain period of time and was any girl behind the breakup in their dosti, albeit for some time...!?

For the duo, they said that are friends before the films and both Varun and Arjun admitted they indeed were not in touch for some time. Arjun elaborated that they both got busy in their respective careers and the silence in their friendship was because they didn't want to burden the other with their personal/professional issues. And, this dosti main break was not because of any girl!!

The curious case of Alia Bhatt

While in the first episode of KWK Alia denied dating Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, KJo candidly poked his SOTY hero with the question - if he ever dated or has been dating Alia! Varun replied in negative and also cleared the air that there are no issues between Sidharth and him, contrary to the rumours doing the rounds.

Karan posed the same question to Arjun about Alia, and the actor admitted that Alia and his chemistry became the talk-of-the-town due to PR overdrive and there's nothing more to it.

But hey, the boys did reveal the name of the guy Alia is currently dating - and its ALI from DUBAI!

Romance 'n' Sex talks

Arjun admitted that no romance is ongoing in his life and he is open to sex, as well as casual relationships. When Karan asked Varun about his GF Natasha Dalal, Varun dodged the question saying that Natasa and he are extremely close friends from school days, and he is not comfortable to talk about her as she is not from the industry. Knowing KJo, he asked Varun what his relationship status is, Single or Not, and the actor replied with a bland answer - won't comment on it! Though Varun did say there's romance in his life, but hey, no names were given.

Arjun was in the line of fire when KJo asked him about his alleged affair with Sonakshi Sinha. With a smile and no answer in sight, the Kapoor lad did say that he doesn't feel the need to wash his dirty linen in public and be it any girl, it will be disrespectful to talk about as she has her friends and family to answer as well.

Hmmm...

Nudity in Common!

Varun was at his candid best when he said that he was a Nudist as a kid! He shared the tales where as a child he only used to roam around in his underwear in his house. And since he has worked on his body, he is cool to put it up on show!

Arjun added that removing clothes is normal, and it isn't a sexual act! He also gave gyaan about why he roams in his shorts the entire day long when he is home, and only showers when he has to head out!

White Mountain

Before the two made it big in films, Arjun-Varun acted in the film - White Mountain - which was helmed by the Dhawan lad, and KJo even showed a clip of that film, which was nothing short of hilarious. Varun admitted that it was this film he showed Karan for the SOTY audition! The boys later enacted some real fun scenes given to them by KJo, on an impromptu basis.

Rapid and Fire

This one was quite thanda, given the safely stated answers by the two. While Varun revealed how a certain 'Kapoor'actor has hooked up with his fan, and he is not Arjun; he also proclaimed his love for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and wished that she wasn't married!

Moreover, he is keen to work with Priyanka Chopra so she could introduce him to his idol Dwayne Johnson.

Arjun, who won the quiz, was more candid and revealed that he will marry Ranbir Kapoor (in Kill/Hookup/Marry) question, as he wants to be the bahu of Kapoor khandaan and to be called the 'first lady.'

When asked to choose between Sonakshi Sinha and Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt, twice the actor chose Pari and Alia and not his ex!

KJo took a jibe at the two boys that why Katrina Kaif was scoring the last position in all their answers!

Towards the end, though Varun did accept that he chose to be a bit boring on the show because what he says is often misinterpreted in the media and he is, indeed, very happy in his personal life with a 'special someone.' Arjun too added that media shouldn't go below the belt and give them the privacy they deserve as individuals.
