TV stars on the year that was…

As 2007 draws to a close, we ask some of our telly stars how the year was for them and their plans for the New Year.

Smriti Irani

"2007 was very good for me as I started my first serial in which I was the producer and which had got 4-5 awards. For a producer this is very satisfactory. Also, I started a melodrama Mere Apne and for the first time I worked with a superstar like Vinod Khanna. I don't make any New Year resolution. There are lots of speculations that I will be back in Kyunki but these will be there forever. I am going to Sreenathji Temple in Gujarat for the New Year so no party for me. I don't believe in all this."

Ronit Roy

"2007 was very good for me as I became a father and also participated in Jhalak. For the New Year I will go out with my family. I don't want to disclose the place. I just hope that 2008 will be much better. I don't have any resolution."

Sharad Kelkar

"My 2007 was very good professionally and personally so I don't have any regrets. But my resolution is to go to a health spa as in this one week I have put on weight. I hope that 2008 will also bring prosperity and happiness to all of us. I will be celebrating it with Kirti."

Hussein

"2007 was great on a professional level because at the start of the year I got Indian Idol and after that Nach Baliye 3. Last year we had won NB but we never ever thought that we will be hosting the next season. On a personal note, we had gone for holidays with family and close friends. I hope 2008 will be brighter for me and for Tina also. I wish all my fans a Happy New Year. My New Year resolution is to work harder."

Sharad Malhotra

"The year has been very good for me professionally while on the personal front also I have become famous among the girls which is very good. I would like to thank all my fans who have loved me so much. This New Year I will be in Kolkata spending time with my loved ones. My New Year resolution is to work hard and bring happiness to everyone."

Prachi Desai

"I'm very happy with 2007 as I got the Jhalak trophy then a film offer so now I'm very excited to celebrate New Year. I'm heading to Goa with all my Balaji friends. My resolution is to work hard for my film and for my fans who have always supported me. I want my film to do well."

Achint Kaur

"2007 was pretty much fine for me. I got different roles to play so I am satisfied. I'm hoping 2008 will be good too. On New Year I will be shooting in Malaysia for the crossover serial Indo-Pak. Wishing all my fans a Happy New Year."
