I started your day with that dialogue BTW

See, I told you...this one was one of the best episodes this season. It had everything, a good story/case, beautiful moments between the brothers and Jody, sensible scenes related to the Mary track etc.
You've covered every moment that I loved myself for e.g -
1. Dean and Sam's entry into Jody's house, the entire moment post that where they chill and hog and tease (after pretty long) was so pleasing to watch. Jody is a beautiful character and the way they made her meet Mary and read the distress and reach out for help was touching.
2. Sam telling Mary why Dean's behaving the way he is (rightfully) It's wonderful how while he understands her he also gets why Dean's acting like this. And Dean hasn't had to tell her what he feels, Sam just knows, because he knows him and because perhaps is going through the same. I love how like initially it was Dean being a bridge between his father and Sam, Sam is trying to be that for Mary and Dean.
3.When Dean sees the Reaper the first person he shouts for is Sam, when he enters the house the first person he calls for is Sam too, and that just once again emphasizes what this shows about 😊
4. I loved the concept of all hunters being under one roof, working as a team...And Dean and Sam being legends there 😆
5 That scene where Dean and Sam talk about dying on the job and Dean being pro on it (I felt that scene was abrupt) But I hope they build on it. Dean thought it was the best way to go and Sam disagreed...I would have loved to hear more on it.
The entire episode was brilliant. Dean's pain breaks my heart and as always makes me want to hug him. And Sam's patience and love for his brother and mother makes me proud. It's not easy for BOTH brothers to have a parent that died 33 years ago, who was the reason they got into this life and lost so many people, come alive...and then personally choose to leave them. Sam is (at least on the surface) dealing with this a lot better than Dean. Who had high expectations from the get go and is reeling under the hurt.
I understand where Mary comes from TBH. It's not easy to come alive to a world you don't fit in and aren't a part of. But I still can't warm up to her character for many reasons yet. She sounds and seems like a hypocrite and callous woman as off now.
For e.g - She always seems vocal her children got into hunting and for all the hate she has for this life, she was yet hunting when Dean was a year old.
There's so much more she says and does that I can't relate to. Because like Dean I believe a family can't understand each other better apart. They can be under one roof and give each other space too...if space is what she seeks. But a 33 year gap can't be filled with more distance.
