Remember Priya and Ram from serial Bade Acche Lagte Hain? Well, the lovely and cute on screen couple Ram and Sakshi created history with the longest love making scene on Indian television. Now everyone's favourite jodi is all set to return as a couple in an even bolder avatar. Though, this time not on television but in a web series by Ekta Kapoor.
Ekta Kapoor had recently launched her digital venture ALT Balaji with a promise that she would now make shows that she could never make for television. And keeping her promise, the show featuring Ram and Sakshi will be one of a kind. It will a bold show in which Sakshi will play the role of a counsellor. Ram will play a superstar who comes to this counsellor since his wife has left him for another man. Ram's encounter with Sakshi's character changes his lives and thinking. The show will have lot of double meaning dialogues which is never possible to show on television. Ram and Sakshi will take part in a photoshoot for the show, followed by the promo this week.
Ekta Kapoor was the one who took the bold decision to bring Ram and Sakshi in a love story of two middle aged people in Bade Acche Lagte Hain. The show became super popular when it aired on Sony TV and made Ram and Sakshi one of TVs already popular and senior actors, even more popular. The show was a love story of man and woman, in their middle age, who were poles apart in their personalities. Fate brings them together, they get married and begin their journey as husband and wife, which was the crux of the show. It had a long run of three years but near the end the show started fizzling like all other fictional shows.
Kudos to Ekta for bringing them together again. Since Sakshi and Ram are both busy doing films they will shot for this series in one go. This would be a finite series that Ekta is personally supervising.
Along with the series featuring Ram and Sakshi, Ekta Kapoor will soon be launching other web series with bold themes. Ekta is called the soap queen of Indian TV, because of shows like Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki and Kyunki Saas Bahu Kabhie Bahu Thi that changed the face of TV entertainment. Later Ekta ventured into Bollywood with bold films like The Dirty Picture, Love Sex aur Dhokha, Udta Punjab. Ekta currently has popular shows like Naagin, Ye Hai Mohabbatien, Kumkumbhagya, Brahmarakshas riding high on TRP charts.
