Chapter 9

Kaurvaki dad gather everyone. Kaurvaki asks what this was about. Her father told her ashok will be going to school with her from now on. Kaurvaki was shock, " papa you can't be serious. Ashok.. he... I mean we know nothing about him"

Her dad smile " your right, but he won't be their permanently. Just temporarily until we find his parents. "

Kaurvaki felt like her life was ruin. Ashok going to her school Is a very big problem. Ashok ressures her that, he won't cause any trouble. He will just observe. Ayan on the other hand says why couldn't ashok come to his school, he says they would have so much fun..

" sorry Ayan, but ashok is Kaurvaki age, he fit more at her school the yours"

Kaurvaki excuse herself before going upstairs to drown herself in her misery. " is this wise" her mother says

" give her time, ashok is a good companion for her, she just needs to believe in him and trust him." Her father says

The next day the family with ashok went grocery shopping. Ashok was finally getting use to the car ride.when they reached the store ashok was amazed at the size. He asks if this was a castle, Ayan says " it is, it has everything you want inside"

" really, then I shall go and seek what I am looking for"

Kaurvaki dad told them to grab school supplies for themselves and also food they will need. They all nod, ashok was to busy looking around amazed. He saw people on a machine putting stuff in a bag. Some on the steps stocking. He walk some more and notice the manager yelling at an old women. He was about to throw something at her when ashok steps in.

Ashok says " raising a hand at an elder is wrong, it shows how much of a dishonest person you ." The men asks ashok to butt out, but ashok refuse. He says " I will tell father about you, what is your statues?"

The men told ashok to leave, but ashok says " he won't until the man apologize " the man calls for security. When they arrive the men told them to remove ashok from the store. They walk to ashok, but ashok move to the other side. The other guy tried to catch him, but ashok ran. They chase after him passing by the milk section. One police officer fell on the milk cart. Getting milk all over his hair and clothes.

Ayan seeing ashok, calls for him, but ashok wasn't listening. The guard scream for ashok to stop, when he didn't he calls for backup. The manager says how can you not catch one kid. The security guard says ashok was to fast. on the other hand, Kaurvaki, was buying books, when she felt a wind. She turn to see ashok, jumping on things, while the security guards falling on stuff they stack. " not again" she says

" come Kaurvaki, let's leave this place." He says grabbing her hand, Kaurvaki told him to let go, but he didn't. One of the s ecurity guards grab Kaurvaki and ashok pulls out his sword " you shall let her go"

The security guard laughs and say what will ashok do with that toy sword. He touch the sword to push it away, when he felt a cut. The man realize the sword was real. He quickly call for backup. " theirs a boy with a dangerous weapon. We need backup, he is wearing weird clothes, and his holding a girl hostage"

Kaurvaki tried telling him that she wasn't being kidnapped, but ashok quickly grab her and move back. More security guards we're on their way. Ashok lift her up bridal style and ran with her to the front area.he puts her down before telling her that they need to free the people in the store. " ashok this has gone way to far. Stop this nonsense " Kaurvaki says

" what nonsense? These people are being in slave, it's unjust" when he said this one worker says " yes low pay, and we rarely have any break. The manager is an ass*#"

" see" he says

Kaurvaki shook her head. She says " why me, why me"

Ashok stop in the middle to talk to the people. He cleared his voice getting everyone's attention. " my people, I see the unjust that's happening, and I think it's time for us to stop this once and for all.this man " he says pointing to the manager " has not only been unfair to you all, but to me as well. And I ashok will not stand for this. Do you want a ruler that doesn't care about his people, or do you want one who cares, and will stop at nothing to insure that you all are good."

The workers agreed with ashok. One worker says " his right, this job sucks. And I'm tierd of sucking up to that asssh"

" yeah!" Another says

" let's go on strike until we get a new manager" one says

" yeah!!!" They all scream, dropping their things and stepping out

" look what you did ashok" Kaurvaki says

Ashok smile " I have set them free"

The manager boiling with anger kicks ashok and Kaurvaki out of the store. He says they are banned from entering the grocery store. Kaurvaki mouth widen, while ashok puff his chest " I did all of this, but I still didn't get what I was looking for"

Kaurvaki parents came out asking what happend. He says why are they protesting outside. Ayan asks about her stuff, she says she doesn't want to talk about it. They walk to the car and went home, awaiting for another day.

Chapter 10

It was another morning for kaurvaki. She got up stretching and yawning like always. Her hair a complete mess. She tierdly search for her things before heading to the bathroom. When she arrive, she realize it was locked. She figured it was her brother. " ayan open this door" she screams

When she got no respond, she twist and turn the door , shouting for him to open. She was about to knock again when the door open slowly. Their ashok stood with only towel around his waist. He had a confuse expression on his face, but it soon turn to an apologetic one. " good morning kaurvaki, did i disturb you?" she says

Kaurvaki couldnt find words to say. She has never seen a man with no shirt on. Well shes seen movies of the hero shirt tearing up, but this was the real deal. She had to admit, without his weird clothes ashok look really hot. I mean his hair was wet, causing the water on his head to drip. His hair stuck to his face like glue. She look to see his six packs, but stop when she realize ashok was still waiting for her to answer.

" Ah.. Yes good morning. I was about to use the bathroom."

Ashok laughs nervously " you cant go yet"

When he said this he put his hand to block her from coming in. Kaurvaki raise a brow " why not?"

" theirs a creature in there going crazy and squirting water. "

Kaurvaki confuse asked what he was talking about. Ashok ressures her that he handled it. " what did you do ashok?"

"Nothing"

" ashok, let me pass"

" not yet"

" ashok!" she says getting angry

Kaurvaki pushes herself in. Jabbing him. Ashok sigh and close the door. When kaurvaki walk in she almost had an heart attack. Their in the bathroom, broken was the water hose. But thats not what upsets her. Their was water everywhere, the tub was filled with water, and the curtain was removed. Even the sink was cracked. She angrily turn to ashok " how could you have cause so much damaged?"

Ashok rough his hair " well" he says

Flashback

Ashok woke up after a long nap. He met kaurvaki mom and jagannath who asked if he took a shower yet. Ashok says " what is a shower,"

They laugh and ask if he was joking. When ashok didnt respond, they look at one another before kaurvaki mom explain it to him. She told him to follow her and she showed him the shower hose. Then she made water for him in the tub. Ashok was fascinated. He asks if their was a spring near by that fills the tub . " no, its connected to the pipes, bringing water."

Ashok confused says " what is a p-i-p?"

Kaurvaki mom told him not to worry about it. She showed him where the stuff was to use before telling him to enjoy. When she left, ashok removes his garment. He look in the mirror to see the mark still there. He gritted his teeth " who was it that shot me, it couldnt have been kalinga , i mean why would they be in that area" , ashok walk to the tub and get in. Their he sigh with ease. " this water is very pleasant" he says

He stretched his foot and muscles before washing himself. He look around. And spotted the hose. Curious, ashok got up and touch it. He didnt realize the hose was a sensor. As soon as he touched it, it came on. Ashok surprise drops it. He look at it again, and says " this is just another silver thing. Its not alive"

Suddenly the hose started rising and wiggling everywhere. Causing water to spill. Ashok surprise move out the way when the water squirted towards his direction. He repeatedly kept moving, trying to grab it, but it kept moving. Ashok grab his sword to kill it. The hose wiggled out the way, making ashok hit the curtains, making it fall to the floor.

He tried again, this time hits the sink. Leaving a crack behind. Ashok gets on the toilet seat which was down and jump, cuting the long rope of the hose. It fell down making ashok smile " now you wont harm kaurvaki and her family " he says. By that time, water was everywhere and the tub was too full with water.

End of flashback

Kaurvaki couldnt believe it, she wanted to hit ashok in the head, but refrain from doing it. She calmly told ashok to get the mop because they will have to clean it before her parents come. Ashok nod. They quickly got to work, while wipeing the sink kaurvaki slip...bumping into ashok who was moping the floor. Ashok surprise fell into the tub. He came back out squirting water from his mouth.

Kaurvaki apologetically apologise, but stop and laugh. Ashok. Smile. He never heard her laugh before. He realize he like it. Kaurvaki quickly stop when she saw the look ashok was giving her. She look at him raising her brow " what?"

Ashok smiling says " i like it better when you smile and laugh"

Kaurvaki heart drum, her cheeks turned red before telling him to get back to work. Suddenly they heard a knock " kaurvaki-di... Are you done yet?"

Kaurvaki told ashok not to say a word. She turn to the door before saying she will be soon. Ayan told her to hurry up, before leaving. They both sigh with rellief. Ashok step out the water the same time kaurvaki turn to him. Their was a pause, before they both scream. Ashok quickly cover his region area, while kaurvaki fainted. Ashok quickly search for his towel before running to her. All while calling her name.

Their goes her normal routine, she thought in her head.

Chapter 11

Past

Ahankara didnt know where she was being taken. She tried hitting the bag they had put her in, but unfortunately she couldnt get out. It wasnt long before she heard shouts follow by sword clanging together. Few minutes later , all was quiet. She was afriad. She knew something had happen, and hope who ever it was was here to save her.

She suddenly saw light, then she saw sushim who was smiling down at her " how many times must i save you" he says

Ahankara eyes soften seeing him. Sushim held his hand for her, and she gladely took it . once up, she let go of his hand and thank him. She asks how did he know she was kidnapped. " i saw them took you" , they wonder who would want to kidnap her and why. While they were on their way back. They bump into a men, he had a hoodie on. He was shaking saying time will change. Ahankara curious asks him what he ment.

The men told her, the boy who suppose to rule india has disappeared. I see bad things happening. Ahankara put two an two together. She asks the men if he knows anything about ashok. The men sussh her, he told her if she wants to know anything to follow him. She was about to when sushim grabs her " are you crazy ahankara? We no nothing about this men"

" your right, but he knows about ashok disappearance"

Sushim raise a brow " what made you so sure his talking about my brother?"

" think sushim, ashok the only one who disappeared in thin air. We cant find his body, and everyone assume his dead. I did too, but some how i beleive tgis men. Ashok is alive"

Sushim sigh " ok , i will play along with this until you realize my brother is in fact dead"

" suit yourself"

they follow the men inside an abandoned house. Their the men starts chanting. Sushim raise a brow when the men gasp. Ahankara says if he knows anything. The men told them that the one they seek is in another time.

" time, what do you mean?"

" he manage to do the impossible, and go to a place where is highly powerful and knowledgeable"

" and what is that place?"

The men stare at sushim before smiling " the future"

Present

Sushim next to his motorcycle was lifting weights. When he saw tunisha he whistle grabbing her attention. Her and her friends stop " is their something you want sushim?"

Sushim putting the weights down told her he got two tickets to the movie. If she would like to go, tunisha look at her friends asking if she should. They laugh. Tunisha says " you hear that Sushim theirs your answer... Bye bye" she says. Walking away.

Sushim friends laugh. They told him this was the twentyth time he was rejected by her. Sushim threatens to beat them if they dont shut up. He told them, she. Will be his, it wont be long now. Just then his friends nudge him, " look its the clown"

Sushim looking at ashok following kaurvaki smiles. " HEY YOU!!"

. he says making kaurvaki tense. Sushim walk over until he reached ashok. He look at ashok up and down smirking. " why are you at my school clown"

Ashok says " i have come to search for knowledge"

Sushim and his friends laugh at ashok choice of words. " what a geek" he says making his friends laugh, sushim look at him again before telling him he wants a race.

Ashok says it wont be wise, since they have class. Kaurvaki finally getting together says the same thing. Ashok looking at her pleading eyes sigh. " very well, i will not engaged with you sushim. I will head to class now."

.kaurvaki sigh with relief. She grab ashok hand draghing him away. Sushim says in head, if i can win against him , maybe ahankara will take notice and think I'm cool. He told them to stop, and grab kaurvaki. Kaurvaki look at sushim while trembling. " if you race me then i will let her go"

Ashok wasnt fazed. It wasnt until sushim push kaurvaki to the floor that he got mad. Ashok told him " its like you to hold a hostage and threaten them" ashok looks at kaurvaki who shook her head. " i will do it" he says

Chapter 12

Sushim signal his two friends to hold kaurvaki. It wasnt long before people find out about ashok race with sushim. They gathered around waiting, everyone cheering for sushim. Kaurvaki told ashok he should have said no, ashok told her ...he couldnt let sushim get away with what he did. Kaurvaki was about to say something else when sushim friends drag her away.

Ashok turn to sushim " you will let her go if i defeat you?"

" of course you have my word"

Ashok.nod. before getting in the line. Siamak says" the person who manage to get the school flag at the top of the pole wins. Sushim looks at tunisha " this is for you babe" , tunisha roll her eyes.

Ashok bends down, the same time sushim did. When siamak blows the whistle they both ran. Both neck to neck, the crowd scream with excitement. Ashok avoided some obstacles like the trash can. He could feel his nostril burning while his heart pumps , causing his breathing to pick up. Ashok legs pump creating speed on his legs. When they both saw the fence leading to the track they jump, both neck to neck.

They made a turn, now their both on the track running. Ashok could feel the rush of the wind. People moved out the way when they saw them. Sushim was starting to loose energy. He was surprise at how fast ashok was. He wonder if the boy been running all his life. " i cant let ashok win" , quickly he ran infront of him before running side to side blocking his path. Ashok moves to the other side, but sushim move the same place.

Ashok falls back a little . sushim smirk, " are you loosing energy already. What a shame" he says speeding

Ashok glares before looking for a short cut back. He search until he found stares. Smirking he ran to the gym entrance and up the steps. Sushim seeing this smirk " i guess he chickened out".

On the other hand. Ashok opens the door to see the flag near by. He calculate how far of a distance it would be to jump to each building. He realize it wasnt that long. Moving back, he ran and jump, swinging his legs forward.

Everyone could see sushim, sushim friends says " i dont see that clown any where, maybe he gave up"

The crowd cheered seeing sushim coming. Kaurvaki worried wonders if sushim probably cheated. Or did something to ashok. Siamak ressures her that ashok will definitely come. Kaurvaki asks how does he know " because ashok never goes back on his word"

Kaurvaki raised a brow " you barely know him nd yet you talk as if you have been friends with him for years"

Siamak chuckles " its funny isnt it"

Ashok jump through another building, he almost slipped , but he quickly grab the end and lift himself up. He could see the crowd and sushim. The sun shinning on his necklace, while he stand tall and proud in determination. Kaurvaki feeling something blinding her look up to see Some one up on the rooftop. Her eyes widden when she saw who it was " ashok!!?" she says

Siamak look up, and shout his name. Soon the crowd started cheering. Sushim seeing ashok close to the flag, cursed under his breath . he could hear tunisha saying " that clown is interesting", this made sushim upset. He reached the pole ready to climb when people gasp.

Ashok seeing sushim touch the pole jump, reaching for the flag. He stretched until his arm and leg was wrapped around it. He grab the flag removing it. The crowd cheered. Ashok jump down before going to sushim who was still shock." how did you manage to do that?" he says

Tunisha walking to them says " isnt it obvious. This clow- i mean ashok, is a gymnast. How else is he able to do all those stunt"

Ashok didnt understand what tunisha ment, but he didnt pay to much mind. " i won sushim, now let kaurvaki go"

" i dont care you can have her" he says

Kaurvaki jerk her hands free before walking to sushim. Upset she punch him in the face, causing him to bleed on his nose " i was afraid of you before, but not today. The next time you push me i will broke more then your nose."

Everyone was surprise. Ashok eyes was widen like a saucer. Siamak says " sushim just got hit by a girl" this caused everyone to laugh at him. Tunisha shook her head before calling him a looser. The laughter soon quiet down when the teens saw the principal. " i see everyone is having a good time" he says before looking at kaurvaki and then ashok. Who was holding the flag.

" you two to my office" he says

Everyone quickly scram. They we're glad it wasnt them caught by the principal. While in the office the principle told kaurvaki how disappointed he was, that she would use violence in school. He turn to ashok who was standing. " and you, its your first day and already your being rebellious. Skipping class and taking school property"

Ashok commented saying sushim had pushed kaurvaki, so he had to do something. The princicple told him he should have inform him, ashok apologise. " since this is your first time, i will excuse what happened earlier." , they thank the men before stepping out the door. Suddenly they saw tunisha leaning before looking up and smile.

Chapter 13

"Hello ashok" tunisha says

Ashok raise an eye brow, while Kaurvaki cross her hand. Tunisha walk to ashok and told him how cool he was jumping from building to building " it was like..Spiderman " she finished.

" Spiderman? Is that a friend of yours Kaurvaki?" He asks

Kaurvaki slaps her forehead " no ashok, he isn't real"

Ashok gave her the uhu face before turning to Tunisha. She put her hand around ashok and push Kaurvaki with her hips. Making her fall. " oops, clumsy me" she says

Ashok looking at Kaurvaki, asks if she was alright. She told ashok not to worry. " you heard her, let's go ashok"

" bu-", before he can talk Tunisha drags him along.

Kaurvaki sigh, siamak extend his hand. He asks her if it was OK for ashok to hang with Tunisha. " it's not my problem, ashok can do what he likes. We're not friend's " she says.

It was during gym class. Ashok was amazed at the size of the room. He was fascinated by the equipments. He was excited to try them. When ashok saw Kaurvaki coming out with her hair tied and shorts he blush. " what is this outfit, I've never seen something like it before. " siamak smile " welcome to the 21st centeres, ashok" he jokes

Soon the girls came out. Ashok close his eyes. He has never seen so many undecent girls before. He was surprise this teacher allows it. Tunisha walks to ashok and told him to sit besides her. Ashok wanted to go to Kaurvaki, but tunisha kept getting in the way. When the coach blows the whistle, they all line up. He check for uniform, but stop when he saw ashok out of uniform.

" why aren't you wearing your uniform?"

" I don't have" he says

The gym teacher told him to follower him, while everyone starts to mumble. The gym teacher told ashok to wear the uniform. At first ashok refuse, but he did anyway.when he came out, he was complaining about the texture, but the girls we're screaming. Ashok was alert. " waw ashok you look normal"

" of course, I'm always normal"

Tunisha walk up to ashok saying he look hot. Ashok confuse says " how can that be when theirs no fire around him or the sun"

" what?...no, hot as in you look good"

Ashok puff his chest " of course, I have my mother looks"

The coach told them to stop screaming and pair up. Ashok seeing Kaurvaki stretching, told Kaurvaki he wants to be her partner. Tunisha object and told ashok to be hers. But ashok refuse saying he only wants Kaurvaki. This made the girls glare at her. Kaurvaki told ashok it was fine, but ashok refuse to work with anyone else, but her. Sushim told her, she can be his partner.

Tunisha roll her eyes and walk past him. Sushim became angry " this ashok is not only stealing my girl, but ruining my reputation "

One of his friend says " what should we do?"

" we will get him during the volleyball game."

They quickly got into teams and start the game. Ashok didn't know anything about this game. Ashok told siamak he only knows strategies , and how to fight in the battle field. Siamak thought about it, " I got it. Why don't you see this as a battle field. Pretend this is the war zone, the ball is the enemy, your trying to send them back home. By using your hands as a sword. The home is the other side, every time you send the ball home, you win"

Ashok eyes brightness. " I see...OK... I will try this game" he says.

When the game started, ashok watch as they throw the ball. He did exactly how siamak instructed him, before throwing it and smacking it. The balk went flying to the other side. Everyone was amazed " wow ashok that was fast" one of the member said

Ashok smile, sushim was angry. The game kept going, until ashok was hit on the face. He fell down before going unconscious. " ashok!" He heard, the teacher quickly took him to the nurse, he told everyone to stay except Kaurvaki since she lives with him. Few hours later Kaurvaki was by ashok side, she look out the window to see the track team running " when did I become his baby sitter. " . She sigh and turn to ashok. watching him sleep. She observe his face and detail. " he looks so normal " she says

She was about to touch his face when ashok quickly sat up and hug her " ma, I'm here. I won't go anywhere " he says, Kaurvaki surprise, eyes widen. She could feel ashok breath on her neck, and his hold tightening on her. He was repeating the same thing over and over again saying he won't go anywhere. She just didn't know what to do in a situation like this.

Chapter 14

Kaurvaki didn't know how to handle the situation. She decides to do what her mother usually does and pat his head. When ashok was calm, he open his eyes. He pull away and thank her. Kaurvaki blush, before making an excuse to leave. Ashok seeing her getting up quickly got up to grab her hand. " kaurvak-" he never finish when he lost his footing.

Suddenly their was a big noise. Kaurvaki rub her head and glare at ashok, but stop when she saw their position. Ashok was on top of her with both of his hand on each side of her face. Like he was getting ready to do pushups. They stare at one another, brown meets dark brown. If ashok move any closer they would kiss. But no one was thinking that. Kaurvaki was going through harmons, she never had a crush on anyone before, so she didn't know why she was reacting different towards ashok.

She denies, liking ashok. And says in head, it's probably because of the fall, her heart is thumping. Ashok eyes soften " don't leave me" he says " stay for a while"

She became mute, and could only nod. Ashok smile, and thank her, before getting up and giving her a hand. Once up, she went back to her seat and look anywhere, but ashok. Ashok didn't mind. He sat down and stare at his hand. " I had a nightmare of my mother , she was crying and calling for me." He says getting her attention.

" i was fighting pirates trying to turn the ship around, when I was hit by our enemy...kalinga. then I came to this unknown place. Mother must be worried"

Kaurvaki believed him until he mention pirates and kalinga. He must have hit his head really hard, I will tell the nurse to check him. She stop thinking when she caught ashok eyes. Maybe it's true, I mean his clothes from before is foreign. She shook her head, no...no Kaurvaki, it's not possible. Ashok is making you think crazy now, theirs no way his story is true

It wasn't long before the nurse came. She check ashok some more, before they left. While walking, Kaurvaki realize how quiet ashok was. He wasn't his proud self, but instead looks lost.

She didn't like it, " I will have to cheer him up. Maybe take him to the movies" she mumbles

They stop when they heard siamak voice. They turn when siamak came running with his backpack on. " Kaurvaki... Kaurvaki!! Guess what" he said excitedly

" you won't believe what I just found "

Kaurvaki raise a brow " what is it? "

Siamak smile " so I was doing a history report on the kings of magda, and I came across ashok. I wanted to know more about him so I searched the library and even the internet. I found many information, but I wanted a picture of ashok. My professor decides to send me a drawing they did of ashok as a young boy, and look."

Kaurvaki look at the drawing, so did ashok. She gasp " no way"

Siamak nod with excitement. " can you believe this, our ashok is our king that unites India"

Kaurvaki says " I believe that ashok is a recarnation, and his ancestor probably ashok."

Siamak frown " no, he is the real ashok. I'm telling you. Don't you remember the weird clothes, and the way he speaks."

" enough Siamak. Theirs no way, someone from the maurya Dynasty Can come to the future. Its just not possible "

Ashok looking at the drawing says they draw him well. He says they will have to get who ever drew this, to draw a portrait of his mother. Siamak points to ashok " see, he even acknowledge it. "

Kaurvaki, thought she was crazy earlier, but it seems like she wasn't the only one affected by the ashok virus. " I don't believe this"

" its believable if someone time travel" he says

Past

Sushim frown " you can't seriously believe this ahankara, this men has lost his mind."

" he could be right Sushim, ashok could be alive, lost somewhere "

The men told Sushim he doesn't have to believe him, but the one they seek is in the future. Ahankara asks how was it possible. The men says he Don know. Ahankara frown, " please... how can we get him back?"

" you won't be able too, only time will tell. All you can do is wait"

Ahankara frown, she hates being useless. Sushim glares " let's say I believe this crazyness. Why is it I wasn't chosen, but instead he was"

The men fell silent. " that I don't know, but theirs consequences."

Ahankara was now alert " consequence, like what?"
