Lady Em!

What a fine happy tale you've spun!

I had read it last weekend but found the time to comment only today.

First of, may I congratulate you on capturing that picturesque scene of nature that you've posted as banner for this story. I am marvelled by the way you captured the fall of light upon stone and rushing water. Bravo to you!

Next to the story: I must say, considering your potential to write amazing things, this tasted like a little appetizer. Satisfying though not filling. I hope you get what I mean. It was a happy, good-feeling story.

I like how you shaped the characters of the protagonists, making them not entirely perfect but flawed in just the right places.

I also love how you described the littlest things. You know I am crazy about details! The shawl, the colours of the sleeves, the wood, the places where Kushi finds seat in every chapter, the breathtaking atmosphere described so vividly that I felt myself transported to the never-visited Manali.

I was excited when you began alerting us to the books she read. I had never heard of the American Gods and thanks to you, I have a book added to my Must-Read-List!!

I am happy that she'd lost the card he gave her.

I mean, she could have been a reluctant-lover-still-thinking-about-him who tucked the card away in a place she knew it to be. But no, you made her more natural, by letting her forget where she'd last seen it. If she'd perhaps lost it in a late night trash last month or so...

The rest of the things in the story were, at least by my thermometer, kind of a lil'...eh...cheesy, though not of the major sort. And thankfully, not all the parts were cheesy to my tongue. There was something gentle about their relationship in certain occasions and I was warmed by those instances.

And lastly, as I've always wanted to tell you, I LOVE THE WORDS YOU CHOOSE. Its brilliant, how you manage to string the right beads together to form a dazzling necklace of words...
