Is Anushka to manly for romance movies?!

Anushka is a nice actress but she is repetitive her entire career filled with bubbly Punjabi girl roles maybe that's why people are unable to picturise her in coy shy romantic role other reason can be her offscreen tomboyish nature

I know what you mean here. She lacks that feminine side and she'll look weird doing the 'dancing in sunflower fields' roles that Deepika, Priyanka or Kareena can do. She was pretty good in the intense scenes in ADHM but she's not made for cheesy fluffy romance. I'd love to see her in more roles like NH10 and heroine-based films. And in more films with Ranbir 😳😆

Anyone can have a compelling love story that entertains.

Also, masculine and feminine are terms in a state of constant change. About 2 decades back, a skinny body wasn't considered feminine while it is the epitome of feminine beauty now. So, I don't think Anushka's 'masculinity' is the problem here.

In fact, I rather enjoy seeing male and female characters who are not typically masculine or feminine. Enough of that jazz haha.

But there is certain demand of a character. Its not real life, its reel life. put anushka in shraddha place in A2 and it would hv lost its purpose of intense n simple love stories 😊 M not saying anu is bad she is one of best actress we have but intense love stories require innocent female lead thats it!! 😊
