Abhishek chooses football over Aishwarya's film

The Bachchan parivar made for a perfect family picture this Diwali. But reports suggest a different story altogether.

Apparently, both Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan are miffed with bahu Aishwarya Rai Bachchanfor her intimate scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in Karan Johar's latest release 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'.

Infact, that is the reason why they haven't seen their daughter in law's spectacular comeback film yet that has garnered over Rs 165 crore worldwide since its release on October 28.

Industry insiders revealed that Karan Johar had invited both the senior Bachchans for a special screening of the film but they both decided to skip it. Reports also claim that Amitabh and Jaya both avoided watching the film despite a special screening arranged at home post Dhanteras by Aishwarya for her family members.

Meanwhile Aishwarya's husband Abhishek Bachchan too admitted to not having seen the movie yet. When asked at a recent event in Mumbai, he said that he missed the film as he was travelling with his football team. He said he would be seeing the film in the near future and also congratulated Karan Johar and the entire team for the film's success adding that wife Aishwarya looked splendid in the film.

The irony of the statement lies in the fact that the comment was made minutes after Abhishek returned from shooting an episode with Shivaay director, producer and actor Ajay Devgn for a chat show. While Shivaay was up against ADHM for a mega diwali clash this year, Ajay too has openly spoken about his fallout with KJo. Add to that the fact that Abhishek did not promote ADHM on social media at all only seems to suggest that Junior Bachchan was not keen to see his wife play a seductress on the silver screen.

The Bachchans were seen in full force cheering their daughter Shweta Nanda as she walked the ramp recently for designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla in Mumbai. While father Amitabh was seen making videos, mother Jaya was busy hooting while brother Abhishek whistled and clapped as Shweta stunned as a shop stopper for the dynamic designer duo. But the family's lack of support for their daughter in law Aishwarya Rai's glamarous role in ADHM, which has been hailed even by critics, sure suggests that the khandaan is extremely uncomfortable witnessing their bahu's sensual chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor.
