After all the controversy, Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, finally released this past weekend to mixed reviews. The movie is undeniably great looking, with talented actors such as Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma (playing leads Ayan and Alizeh) leading the show. The story, however, is more than a wee bit problematic, and not just because of how much it resembles literally every film Kapoor has starred in since his debut. (How many years can you keep coming of age, bro?)

i agree with every word of this review! 👏👏👏👏👏 this is one of his best! 😆😆

i had the exact same reasons why i couldn't stand a man-child who couldn't understand NO means NO! Ayan was so close to turning into SRK from darr! he was immature, selfish, inconsiderate...whining his feelings on her wedding day, whining his feelings again despite her being married, and finally whining his feelings when she has stage 4 cancer...

emotional capacity of a 4 year old 🤣 so true given his hissy fits and tantrums! 😛😆 where was the maturity?? 🥱
the dense dickweed that he is ayan whines about his feelings for Alizeh again.. on her wedding day this time! this is a world without facebook or any social media apparently 😆😆
ayan throws a hissy fit by becoming abusive and breaking shit around her house..consent is a non-existent concept here i'm still a sympathetic character here 😆😆
