ADHM isn't a perfect movie , it has its own flaws. So Shivay had a chance. At the end of the day , if Shivay was better movie, it would have worked irrespective of anything.

ETA - How bad is Shivay 😲 😆

The idea was borrow from Taken but some people have forgotten that film Mardaani was inspired by from Taken as well.

The only problem with Shivaay was Erika as she was misued. Her chemsitry with Ajay could have been better. However, she gives a good performance.

I think Ajay deserves to continue directing movies. He's made such an effort with this film in terms of script and direction. No one is perfect but Ajay is such dedicated person for making Shivaay. At end of the day, it goes down to experience.
