ok i know i am very late...but my post on ystrdy's epi...i will talk about the first scene since rest of the epi is not worth discussing...i hv always said i love DevAkshi tog chahe romance ho chahe jhagra ho...so no surprise that i loved that scene...first i will talk about the performance...for me it is always shaheer who steals the scene and same hapnd ystrdy however both were too gud in the scene...dev's body language always gvs me the feeling he is literally into the skin of dev dixit so much so that he has imbibed both the positive and negative aspects of the character...loved the way he was standing just before sona entered the room...his expression clearly stated he himself is unhappy with his decision and then sona comes in...loved the way they started their convo in very normal and soft voice although the words they were speaking was like tennis ball from one court to the other...sona asking a simple question to aap ne apna decision badal diya and he gving a even simpler reply haan badal diya...i cud see dev was in no mood for explaining wat he did and sona was in no mood to gv him scope to avoid the fact that he shud hv told her...dev stating he had his own reasons clearly implied either she shud understand by herself or if she cant then she shud not expect explanation for his every decision...
but wat i loved the most wen sona said that vicky will never redeem since dev has himself taken away that scope from him and to that dev said he doesnt want to talk about that...i always get surprsed the way they make every scene come alive...only last week my sis was saying how boys r just like this...wen they r forced to do something which they know is not right they refuse to talk about this and go on silent mode...just like dev...he knows he is wrong but cud not refuse his mom...
dev's frustration toward ishwari was apparent in friday's epi wen he was gving her an irritating look wen she was reminding him of mamaji's favor and old and new relationships...being the person he is dev must hv been extremely hurt...after sacrificing all his life for this family he still has to hear that he is not being grateful to mamaji...i guess that out of that hurt he took this drastic decision of making vicky project head...
wen dev said tum samajhti kyun nahi ho (i loved his voice modulation here) it was clear that knowing him for so many months sona shud understand this much that how much he is tied to his past and his mom...some decisions he has to take irrespective of the decisions being right or wrong...and sona saying kuchh baatein mehsoos kiye jaate hai...clearly she tends to take it as dev depriving her of her rights on his decisions...
this is the main complexity between them...dev is ready to share everything with her but he has his limitations where his mom is concerned and this is one point that sona cannot or will not understand...it is not like she doesnt know since during separation she had said the same thing that he has no right to make his own decisions...but now as a wife it is very difficult to accept that her husband loses the sense of right and wrong being subjected to his mother's unjustified whims...she expects a more mature and responsible husband which clearly dev is not...and it is also not that dev does not know about his shortcomings...
he is also aware that the level of trust that he has on her sona will never be able to gv him that level of trust...there is no guarantee wat he will do tmrw if again ishwari corners him to choose any one lady in his life...since dev is always aware of these facts it is always he who admits defeat in every argument with sona hving the last word...ystrdy i loved mostly because it was a small scene but written with lots of thought and logic which is of course the USP of this show...
