Okay even before we get into the logistics of the episode today let's all give a standing ovation to Nakul and Surbhi because the way they have acted today...it is literally one of the best performances so far. Nakul's expressions were on point, there wasn't one moment where he was out of character. His anger, his accusations, his dialogue delivery was all perfectly timed and executed. Honestly hats off. Now what I liked about Surbhi was that she didn't cry after being insulted. I know it's not something so huge to be happy about but these kind of scenes where the hero accuses the heroine usually end up with the heroine in tears right then and there. Now i am not saying that Anika won't cry or feel hurt later but the fact that she stayed strong during this whole confrontation made me so happy. And she walked out with her head held high and that is something that I love about her character. She deals with the problem at hand first then allows herself to hurt, cry, break apart. Gawd so proud of her! 👏
Now coming to the episode...
My initial reaction: What. The. Effing. Heck. 😲
Shivaay Singh Oberoi is one of a kind, seriously. The way he always talks about Khoon Khandaan and Lineage and every single things amazes me. The writers have done a great job with his character and Nakul is playing it so well. SSO has built this ideology that people who don't have class or don't hail from a "khandaani" family with valuable "khoon" aren't even human. Or worse they don't exist for him. But mind you..he has contradicted himself so many times with this ideology through his actions with Anika...so...honestly speaking I feel like SSO is having mood swings. I mean some of it is understandable but the whole "sab ka khoon ka rang same hota hai iska ye matlab nahi ki sab ka khoon valuable hota hai" dialogue went over my head. Khoon khoon hota hai yaar ab usmein bhi diamonds dhoondne padega to find which type of khoon is valuable and which isn't. What even?!
And then the whole Dev ek "khandaani" admi ke "najayaz" aulad hai...Qu'est que what?! Tell me one thing when a child is in a mothers womb does he/she know ki woh najayaz hai, ya he/she is going to be born to a rich family or a poor family for that matter. The how can Shivaay blame Dev like that. I mean I get it, the chabbras shouldn't have hidden this fact but it isn't Dev's fault that his Dad decided to have a najayaz affair with his Mom. What I am trying to say is Dev isn't najayaz rather the relationship between his Dad and his Mom is najayaz. If only SSO understood this...things might not have escalated so quickly. But it is a show so without drama no entertainment and I am all for it!
One thing though Shivaay is really protective of his little sister and I think that was pretty eveident. And in a way kinda sweet...
Also was it just me or did he want Anika to say "NO" when he asked if she brought Dev in the house. I mean I kinda felt it in the way he asked...of course he was angry but considering how Anika has constantly been supporting and helping this family, being right always, no wonder Shivaay wanted Anika to give the right answer, which would have been "NO". But Viola! That didn't happen...
Anika was brilliant like i mentioned previously. She genuinely wants the best for Priyanka and that's what friendship is. I agree Dev sneaking into the house without permission was wrong and Anika was quick to agree with this as well. She was doing that right thing, getting Dev out of the house in time before anything got out of hand but alas her bad luck! :(
Shivaay saw them and his first instinct...was of course to hold Anika responsible like he has previously done so many times. But this time he was hoping he would be wrong like I mentioned before. And Anika being Anika takes the blame on herself because Shivaay says that "Prinku toh aisa bilkul nahi karegi kyunki woh jaanti hai mujhse bura koi nahi hoga," and of course Prinku is the one who did it and Anika understand that Shivaay trusts his sister so much. Which is why she takes the blame, to save Priyanka and to save the trust that this brother and sister share. She knows the value of that relationship because she herself is in one...Her and Sahil. So i think her saying yes to Shivaay' question of bringing Dev into the home came from a good place.
But she is not the abla naari...nahhh! No where close to that, instead she questions Shivaay on why he didn't listen to Dev, on what is wrong with Prinku and Dev just talking? There is no harm in just talking right? But no SSO being SSO, jo meine ked diya wohi pathar ki lakeer... (Stone Song Oberoi kahin ka). That reminds me I think Anika realized today that Shivaay is a hard nut to crack, because she said "pathar to ek baar phigal bhi jaata hai but aap toh kabhi bhi nahi pighal sakte"..or something like that.
And Shivaay's reference to the "sadak chap yateem" aur "khandaani" log ke beech ke line. Again What the Ef? This comparison he is doing right here is just...outrageous and hurtful. Because I personally felt like he was indirectly calling Anika a "sadak chap yattem" when he said "tum line ke uss paar khadi ho.." First of all #RUUDEEE! and second of all...What happened to Anika being family?...
And Priyanka should have spoke up...I mean I know she was scared but still she should have...
But the hihglight for me was when Anika walked out, head held high... You go gurl! And honestly as a gurl and looking at it in reality I wouldn't want Anika to take back the job because there is something called dignity and self-respect. She was hurt! You could tell by her face...I wouldn't come back for a job like that where you are always shown you"aukat"
But since we are in a ficitional show, I want Shivaay to feel hella guiltyy about this..like literally so much so that he is forced to bring her back...but i guess that will happen with him getting arrested and Anika helping him get out...
Huh...the precap was interesting in terms of OM's arrival at Anika's place. I wonder what he'll say..since he is always the reasonable one. Ok why is Bandari Bua so lalchi..Gawdd..Crinnggyyy
