Honestly, why does Shivaay think as a brother, he has a right to yell like that at his sister's predicament? Omkara is standing right there and he didn't see the need to go into apoplectic fits.
He was mad at Annika. First for telling him about the wrong guy, and then coming to persuade him to accept the guy he doesn't approve of. After she tried to talk him into it and failing, he thought she disregarded his wishes anyway and assumed she could help Priyanka and Dev.
He didn't know she wasn't party to the whole meeting. She was trying to get Dev out for God's sake, before anyone saw him. And got caught red handed as a Convenient scape goat . She knew seeing Dev in the house would really upset Shivaay.
But did he have to throw his phone at her like that? Abuse her for assuming rights just because she was named family at a superficial level?
"It doesn't mean you are really one of us!! You aren't! It means we allow you to associate with us! Be around us! "
Whoa, that was cruel. That didn't have to be expressed, she knows that all by herself. Somebody needs to spank you for bad etiquette Shivaay, because being upper class did not automatically give you good grace. He is just plain rude and obnoxious and haughty. And LOUD.
I like Annika's quiet dignity sans melodrama. She held her ground, managed to save Priyanka's hide from being skinned, and even walked out with the last word.She has a good reputation in that house, she need not wait long before the truth comes out and she is cleared.
But Shivaay broke her respect for him. She saw him as a caring brother and reconciled it with the grouchy cold brute. But this heightened arrogance is unyielding and stands like a large monument. And she's not sure if it's worth finding the man underneath it all.
I dont feel Annika was insulted or humiliated at all. It's Shivaay who made a giant fool of himself today in front of everyone. I'm not surprised if nobody speaks to him after that God-awful speech about status and class.
I love, loved that Omkara noticed Priyanka's simpering distress and saw the fear of Shivaay. Goodness why should a sister fear her big Brother? 😡
And i love how Omkara went to see Annika. His eyes showed how much he wished she didn't have to hear all that.
On the RuMya side. What a silly wishy washy fellow Riyaan is? Just hearing him talk, Rudra decided to just walk Soumya away from him. He is really sweet and I'm curious as to where this arc is leading.
