mine is love marriage and yes it's cross cultural ...my family from city and my hubby family from small town and relatives very orthodox...
As we are mature, we knew rt before wedding that there will be lot of drama in wedding and later on, so we decided we are in together with that...no fighting between us but rather deal the problems together...
Timely I felt sad and would wait to meet hubby ( yes hardly we used to talk in daytime after wedding due to guests in home) but that didn't stop us from being together in whole mess...one respite was after 15 days we cm bk to city where we used to work and then to USA in a year but Dev Sona not lucky to be alone😉
My pov is - Sona shouldn't hv fought but rather talk through with Dev regd what went wrong, what they could hv done and what to do going fwd...she should openly talk saying Mami and dadi bua insult a lot and she can't take it ...Ishwari or Rita, Nikki or mama they don't insult at all...so no Q of issue there...
Then finally dealing with Maata , if GKB and bua not around then it's way better...
If u ask me, I don't think Dev did anything wrong, his intentions were pure to let Sona's parents do wedding of their style but it backfired due to Sona's burst ( which is mainly due to taunts she heard and not really due to Dev)...
Pl share ur thoughts ...I really want to know what u all feel...
