1) Marriage accepted by the family just for Dev
2) Her medical issue
3) Prenup ( I know now its null and void , you never know this CV could do miracles even with legal documents )
4) Highly orthodox culture
5) Family mentally harassing her
6) Lack of Dev's support

She has already got an air of the first one...the rest will slowly be understood and I feel she will break open this glass house and walk away . I am getting mentally prepared for another break up !!

I really hope she will walk away , can't tolerate this taunting and humiliation every day

I still wonder how they are going to properly redeem Dev or it is even possible to redeem him .😕

Dev will tell Sona the truth, darling. But he will say it the same way he tells the truth - under duress. Other people lie when cornered, Dev takes action when pressured to the point that if you already know the answer and ask very specific questions with yes or no response, that's the only time he tells the truth. Don't believe me?
Okay. Let me ask you some questions. You will see everyone will answer under duress.

1. How did Dev tell Ishwari that he loves Sona?

2. How did he finally believed Sona about Ishwari's not being happy with their relationship?

3. Why did Dev decided to pursue Sona again?

4. How did he tell Ishwari that he is still calling Sona even after their break up?

5. How did he reveal that he still loves Sona and he broke up with her because of her?

So you see, he has a pattern.

So he will reveal the truth again under duress if Sona or Ishwari keeps talking about children.

I feel that redemption is learning from his mistakes and never letting them repeat ever again. I am not talking about crimes, but just referring to human failings. Dev here cannot take Sona for granted. He has to learn to stand up for her sooner than later. Modern women don't put up with such crap on a daily basis for too long.

@Tm
I am compelled to post here just for the title alone or part of it.

'Marriage over'

Yes this one in my book is over even before it begun.

Sona because of her need for a fairy tale love lost her perception and put her self respect in the back burner even when the writing was on the wall and
Dev just cried loud enough to get what he wants from his mom and just did not grow up

In this mess I will not blame Easwari because marriage is between two people who go into it with eyes open yes the eyes can be filled with love but not blinded by it that they do not see the writing on the wall.

I was so upset after reading the written updates but now I have since calmed down and your title made me think and here is what I have come up with me for my own sanity.

What if we interpreted the promo wrong..we always thought it was about two mature individuals deciding to part ways due to mom problems.

But what if it was two individuals decided to part because one saw the light and the other refused to grow up.

Promo 1 : Sona tells that Dev to talk to Easwari .maybe first she will try to make him understand about Easwari and her issuesbut when he refuses what does she do just walks away

Promo2: Sona calls Easwari not Dev as a professional Dev picks up but again he asks her if she is still angry with his mom...still not understanding that the mom is the problem for Sona to walk away..hence the khadvi juice that Sona is drinking

Promo3: Dev makes excuses to see Sona but still does not seem to be able to talk to Mom.. Sona asks him to return the memories which he does not want to and also does not have guts to talk to mom

That is the end of the story . A love story probably in the mind if the writer but not the kind I like to watch..maybe this is the close to reality they were alluding to.

What we thought the story was about

Easwari journey of a mom to mother in law

Dev actually balancing between the two women in his life
Sona being a strong individual

The creatives just said Easwari was Dev 's God and Love for Dev was Sona's God.

The redemption of Dev or the growing up of Dev I think is not coming. It was just what some of us wanted .
Today After he sat silent even after he hears his family insult his wife I am not sure how we can redeem that one. Here leave aside that he claims to be in love with Sona this is just common respect

Sona I think today realized her place in this house it seems to be worse than hired help I for one think every one deserves expect .. can she expect anything out of this marriage especially since her husband refuses to man up

This makes me interpret tthe tag lines below
Kya kothain hain
Kya paathein hain
Jab Dil ka faisla Dimaag se hote hain

Sona gets her self respect back loses on a fairy tale her imagined one
Dev loses his rang and Love and gets a colorless life with mom

Both choices of the mind.

Thanks for letting me vent this here. Now I am at peace and moving on
