Because there isn't any other reason for them to keep themselves in line🥱 , in Dev's presence they made many snide comments targeting Sona and her family and Dev silently listened ( n NO I'm not asking him to fight against them , he just needs to put them in their place firmly, did he forget that Sona is his wife now and he's some responsibility towards her ?? ) , so just imagine how much encouragement they got , if they can get away taunting Sona in his presence , how else will they behave with her in his absence ??

We know that Sona is a strong lady and that she can keep a stand for herself. But we've already seen enough of that. Doesn't mean that she is outspoken and bold so Dev wouldn't intervene at all. She is your newly wedded wife for God's sake.
