I think in Bengali culture, they won't wear mangalsutra...that's why they edited and actually, they promised that it will be real type saadhi
Therefore, we have seen so much complain... First of all, it's a inter-cultural marriage so there will be problem of disliking and other things we know how in Indian marriage, mostly groom's family or relatives complain about facilities or they have a habit of doing complaining about bride's family...so CVS r only showing reality about Indian marriage.
They said u will feel like real marriage, that's why they focused on that type of issue.
And many fans r talking there should be devakshi talk during marriage going on, so when we have seen bride and groom talk during marriage in real life. We all know they both r mainly silent.
So,just relax guys

Hey
Even if I keep aside Mangalsutra for the reason you gave.
How can O overlook the drama they presented us full of nonsense?
Groom's families don't do such drama if they're from well educated or sophisticated family. Gone are the times of that. Now there are less such cases.

If it was inter culture or bi culture...why only Bengali culture was followed? Why Dixit family and their culture was sidelined and not respected? Sirf keh dene sey Respect nahin hon jaati.
It was realistic but also very badly directed.

They focused only on issues, and not marriage. Leads were not even given full shots. Such a shame.

Well, in love marriages and even in arranged marriages , couples talk to each other during wedding. This is modern age ... what were we watching!?! I disagree with you in last lines.

I fully agree with you... Don't know why this guy always takes Sony side? This channel is no Saint by the way... And I've attended inter culture marriage.. My friend is a bengali and she got married to a marwari... No-veg and veg were prepared and served separately... There was no such issue...no one was making faces like gkb... Even elders were enjoying the marriage... They were eating the veg from veg counters.. No one making issues... After bengali rituals the marwari rituals were also done... What is the problem agar shadi dono tarike se ho?. . Aur at last but not the least,we were waiting for devakshi marriage not faltu drama... Pathetic execution and direction of a bengali marriage .. Even the bengali rituals were not shown properly... Aur jo dadi bua aur gkb kar rahi thi woh jahil gawar ho log Karte hai... Cultured log aisi harkat nehi Karte hai shadi mein

Then, it's good but not always, every marriage run smoothly... There r few states where this problem still alive...it's doesn't mean the marriage u have attended runs smoothly, then all marriage in India will be like u...there's still these types of issues present

Mangalsutra is not a part of wedding ritual in many cultures, not even in bengal. Sindoor and shaankha chudi are what is most important and signifies a girl is married. As like sindoor is not part of many cultures. Its more because of Bollywood that everyone does mangulasutra or sindoor.

Thanks.
May be Channel and Production both wanted masala wedding. In that, they ruined whole happy go feeling of marriage.

Yes, I can understand, why go somewhere else, in my own family, Bi-culture Love marriage recently happened in start of 2016. My cousin sister and Jiju both were so happy, they did all rituals happily and were talking to each other openly. It was so sweet as we all were admiring them and enjoying marriage as it's takes whole night to complete all rituals. As it was bi culture marriage, so after our Kayasth rituals, the Dixit rituals were also done. And the gift from mother in law was also given which my sister wore in her Bidaai. Before that, she wore what our family and she bought. Of course , it's marriage so both families have to adjust somewhere and believe me, everything happened smoothly and we even got huge amount for Joota churai. 😆
Whole night, either we all were dancing, or playing games, it was really lovely time. No big drama happened. Thoda bahut to har kahin hota hai. We even got neg(money) for stopping the couple's car after bidaai. It's a fun ritual where brothers stop their sister from going her home.
😆

We all were even given few hours to sleep or rest before Bidaai and later in the morning, around 10 am Bidaai happened.

There are so many other rituals in Dixit family which are not shown in show.

Yes, cultures people.dont do such cheap things ianywhere. But sadly such cruel people do exists in society, but why they ruined this marriage which was much awaited. Anyway, looks like director and editor was having some trouble with happy marriage. Idiots.

PS! One more thing I admired was, my cousin sister's mother in law asked her about her choice and they both went together to buy the gift,😳 unlike Ishwari who just gifted what was more costly without even asking Sonakshi if she likes it or not. 😲

It's so unfair to them n to the Devakshi fans.
They didn't show Sona being draped with Ishwari's lehenga during Sindoor daan , it was essential after all teh lehenga drama . They should've made it a point to include it within episode , and Ishwari's happy expression that th e joda is getting utilised at this very moment a maiden becomes a wife.

True, I too was waiting for Asha to come and drape the lehenga aur the chunri onto Sona. Never happened. I don't know now a days cv's are picking and dropping plots like anything. Same for pre-nup. Hope they have thought of it to use in future or it would be disappointing.

I have Expected a big wedding on television gonna happen after watching Olv's, spoilers, Even Actors really worked hard especially sharica both enjoyed & lived those moments!!
Sad part is editing Mangalsutra time just a sec they showed..
After kanyadhan scene over they didn't show Devakshi talking with each other or eyelock just straight away took to DB & GKB Ishwari discussing about veg & non- veg!!
After Bidhaai Dev & Sons were in the car.. There also they missed Dev just holds her hand.. & next Ishwari nivas..

Loved Garland Exchange scene both were lived the moment!! Perfect!!

One thing strikes Why they choose only Bengali traditional wedding? Not Brahman?? Or both?
I think PH already spent a lot for Bengali type & actors too get tired!!
Hope for the best!!
Am following this show since promo time..
Thanks.
