OMG I have been to stressful weddings, have been behind the scenes directly in 2 of them too. 1000 things will go wrong despite the best of planning. But everyone manages the best they can, because no one wants to see tears or dismay on the newly-weds' faces.
Unhappy relatives grumble in the sidelines, not halt proceedings to voice them. Dadi Bua is toxic.
But having said that , I'm disappointed that the Boses were so insensitive to the Dixit parivaar customs. They should have put the vegetarian food in a separate place with separate seating. Tents can be erected and made happen if the thought occured. They should have put in more thought, and Asha's embarrassment was acutely palpable.
Mamaji had his hands full with damage control... But he was such an amazing presence.
Having said that, even with the doses of bitten elaichi, the wedding was so sweet. Dev's expression when he saw her was so .. i so missed that love struck face .. The rituals were so endearing and I was grinning like a fool watching my brother get married.
I wished Sonakshi made an exception and wore the lehenga. The Bose family took too many liberties with everything I feel, unfortunately. Some leeway could have been given. sigh.
But now they are officially Married!! ❤️
But first steps into the house and GKB has already started her mischief.
