Festivals in India take a significant turn in the month of October. The festivals in October are among the popularly awaited ones in the country. The season October ushers in a season of festivities that is both religious and social in nature marked by fun enthusiasm and celebrations.

Festivals in October

There are some of the most auspicious festivals that are observed in the month of October.

Durga Puja Festival (7th October - 11th October, 2016) -

One of the celebrated festivals of India this is especially popular in West Bengal. It is celebrated for five days when the Goddess Durga is worshipped. The celebration is done on a large scale in neighborhoods where huge pandals are erected for the occasion. People come out on the streets in huge numbers to see innovative lightings and idols of Goddess Durga.

Navratri Festival (October 1, 2016 - October 10, 2016) -

This is a nine day festival that culminates in Dussehra. Over the period of nine days there are ritual performed accompanied by dance and music. This is especially popular in the Indian state of Gujarat where a form of dance called Dandia is very popular at this time of the year.

Dussehra (Tuesday, October 11, 2016) -

This day is the ninth day of the navratri festival and signifies the day of the victory of truth and justice when Lord Rama was successful in killing the demon king Ravana in the famous Indian epic of Ramayana. On this day huge effigies of Ravan is burnt in selected places of the country where people gather to participate in the festivities.

Muharram (October 12, 2016)

Unlike Eid, Muharram is not a festive occasion, but a solemn one, which mourns the martyrdom of the revered Hazrat Imam Hussain, the grandson of the Prophet Mohammad. The festival is observed on the tenth day of the month of Muharram, which is the first month in the Muslim calendar. Hazrat Imam Hussain died in 61 AH (680 AD) in battle against the forces of Yazid, and his martyrdom is ceremonially observed by long processions, especially amongst the Shi'a Muslims of India. Taziyas (bamboo and paper replicas of the saint's tomb) and green alams (standards of Imam Hussain's army, decorated with silver, gold and brass) are ritually carried in the procession, which is accompanied by men who beat their breasts, recite marsiyars (mourning verses) and sometimes resort to self-flagellation to express their sorrow. The processions continue during Muharram, and culminate on the tenth day of the month, which is known as Yaum-al-Ashoora. On Yaum-al-Ashoora, the taziya procession terminates at a local square or a cemetery, where the taziyas and alams are ritually buried.

Kojagari Lakshmi Puja (Saturday, October 15, 2016) -

Kojagari Lakshmi Puja is devoted to Goddess Lakshmi and is celebrated in states of Bengal, Orissa, and the eastern India and in few areas of west India. It is observed on the full moon day that is Purnima, few days after the Durga Puja. For the Hindus, Goddess Lakshmi is the symbol of wealth and prosperity. People believe that during the Aashin month on the night of Kojagari Poornima night in Aashin month Goddess Lakshmi pays a visit to the places of her devotes to bless them. Hence the devotees organize Laksmi Puja in their homes, in the evening! Women can be seen decorating the houses with beautiful Alpana patterns. One of the preferred and common alpana that can be seen in every household is that of the feet of Goddess Lakshmi.

Diwali / Deepavali (October 29 & 30 ,2016)

The Festival of Lights, Diwali, is a colourful and happy celebration. Families prepare their homes and themselves for the special festivities that symbolise the victory of spiritual goodness and the lifting of spiritual darkness. Firecrackers are set off to drive away evil, oil lamps are lit, flower garlands are made, candles float in bowls of water outside homes and sweets are shared as part of the festivities.

Diwali can also represent the awareness of inner light within a person when ignorance is pushed aside by understanding and enlightenment.

Halloween (Monday, October 31, 2016) -

Halloween is observed on 31st of October, every year. It is the festival of fun, usually celebrated in the countries of the west such as Ireland, the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. This day is celebrated as a holiday. It is generally the festival of the Christians. The ancestors of the Scottish people and the Irish welsh were cknown as the Celts and 31st of October, happens to be the eve of the Celtic New Year. There is a belief among the people that on this day, ghosts mingled with the living beings. So on this day, people dressed themselves as ghosts to look like the dead souls and also made food for the ghosts. Now Halloween is more of a celebration for the children, who dress up like ghosts on this day and engage in different sorts of fun activities.

If they want to make it a drama type something using CC members as characters , they can do that 😃 (Using names of all members is NOT necessary in that case ) . they can use any CC incidents \ any funny habit of any CC members \ Stalkers activity \ any fictional characters \ any show's concept or storyline as a theme to write their stories on the given topics .

MAIN TOPIC : Select any fictional show you watch and write funny pulavs \ imaginary ending of a past or ongoing track of that show . Members are free to select any fictional show or its characters to write pulavs but they are requested to avoid using any actors \ controversies related to any actors for writing stories . Bashing \Mocking any forum \ fandoms \ any particualr IF fans should be avoided. Members , however are free to write anything on stalkers 😆 ,(without namecalling any particular IF member) use the name as ' stalkers' only in this case

"Memebers Hot seat" is an initiative to know each other even more , but in a funny and entertaining way . From now on , in each CC (only if there is no other specific cc games ) Two members will be selected as "candidate for Members' Hot seat"and they need to answer some questions posted in 'game details' section . (slambook type)

There will be a "members wish" opportunity using which , the members selected for hot seat will be able to select any one member of CC according to their wish as the next candidate for "hot seat" 😆 (each one hot seat member will select one member thus we will get two members) , as there will be two members in the hot seat section , so they need to choice two different (and Not common) members for the "Hot Seat " challenge in next CC... I repeat , Selected name of candidate should not be common for both Hot seat members . ( members in the Hot seat may discuss the issue using PM service before they select any other candidate for next CC hot seat challenge) .

The other candidates except the selected ones , however , will be in "Safe Zone" for next CC 😆

The Members in hot seat will set the questions for the next hot seat challenge players selected by them . (If in any case , they fail to set questions before the CC reaches its 100 th page , then the questions will be set by TM or if the TM herself is selected for Hot seat challenge then any other active member will set question for her ) 😊

The Members selected for "hot seat game" will have every rights of skipping any question they don't want to answer , and even avoid playing the challenge if they do not feel comfortable with the concept .😊

1. Did u wish of being a boy in any situation ? if yes ,when ?

I wish to be a boy when my Dad says u cannt pick this heavy thing and his regretful face

OR when I want to do business my parents directly say no bcoz they feel I wont be able to handle labourers or when my Father was not given a share bcoz he had daughters. But then also somewhere in my heart i want to be a daughter and make them proud

2. If You r given a chance to kill someone , whom would u like to kill 7 why?

I never believe in killing anyone nor those who have done heinous crimes or those who are in extreme pain. Why will i use my hands or involve in it .

May God never ever let me think about it also about another person. Those who has done heinous crimes should not be killed according to me but should be tortured bcoz death is peaceful so why give him that peace he/she should be made to do good work and used as a bonded labour he should understand the pain, the suffering which he/she has given and those who are in extreme pain without any cause could be given death but only if they are extremely necessary .

3. If you get a chance to contest in politics , Will you ?

ofcourse I will but first I want to establish myself.

4. Is there something that you've dreamt of doing for a long time? Why haven't you done it?

I want to read law from Harvard yale standford law school open law firms just for poor. What I am doing now is very differnt and i want to open a transformer factory and make electrical parts and have dealership for it.

5. Is what you're doing now what you always wanted to do growing up?

I just wanted to help poor ppl I never wanted to become rich and all just help poor ppl and do social work was my aim.

6. What's the one thing that people always misunderstand about you?

They always take me as rude, arrogant serious feminist bitch I feel.

There are many crazy things i did but I think going to high floor just to fight the height phobia was the most craziest thing I ever did

Why I am like this? why cannt I be friendly towards other why I always worry about others .

When I stand between my friends or cousins I am the shortest one or

I was going to my best friend's marriage party my mom was in the hospital and I have to wear the saree i just made two rounds it was so tight i couldnt walk they had Tata sumos i remember i couldnt jumpout as i jumped ot my saree tore and it was such an embarrasement .

10. When was the moment in your life you laughed the hardest?

In my college days my friends use to tease me u laugh so much so u r fat.

How I will do something and the poor women will be strong and they will show who are the boss🤣 and all trafficked girls will get a home.
