Fragile Hearts

Part 17

Khushi did her little make-up only applying kohl in her eyes and lipstick to cover her now somewhat swollen lips.

Arnav: It was HP! He said coming back to her.
Arnav: They're waiting for you for the pooja.

Khushi: Hey Devi Maiyya! I am, late on first day only, what'll they think of me?

Arnav: Ohh don't worry, just relax! Let's go. Khushi nodded and both left the room to join others.

They joined others who are waiting for them to do the aarti, both couples took the blessings of elders and much to Khushi's relief Shyam wasn't present there.

Nani: Khushi bitiya! Come here being elders son and daughter-in-law of the house first Chotte and you have to do the aarti.

Arnav: Nani, you know I don't believe in this.

Nani: You didn't believe in marriages also until yesterday. So now at least for Khushi bitiya, help her to complete the rituals.

Arnav looked at Khushi who was waiting for his answer eagerly, he sighed and nodded making her smile.

Anjali: are waah chotte! One look at your wife and you agreed instantly, otherwise how much we have to blackmail you to even enter at temple.

Arnav: Nani just did that Di! Blackmailed me but for a change on the name of my wife. Everyone giggled and Khushi turned red, embarrassed.

First Arnav and Khush did the aarti and then Akash and Payal . Later both daughter-in-laws was asked to cook something sweet for their first rasoi ritual.

Khushi and Payal kept all the dishes on dining table with the help of Hari Prakash and served everyone. Khushi made Chocolate Kheer and Payal made Gazar ka halwa as sweets, and poori-aloo, aloo ka prantha, juices etc with according to individual choices of family and what they prefer. After serving everyone both sat beside Arnav and Akash to have their breakfast also. Whole family praise them for the delicious feast they made and blessed them.

Nani: Now time for gifts for my daughter-in-laws.

Arnav: Gifts? Now why?

Anjali: Chotte if you have ever taken a little interest to know about marriage rituals then you'll know ! Well brides get gifts for their first rasoi in their in-laws house. Arnav nodded and continued to eat the chocolate Kheer which was made by his Khushi , of course sugar free only for him. Others started gifting to new brides as Khushi and Payal came back after washing their hands.

Anjali: Chotte now it's your turn. You're elder brother-in-law of Payal you have to gift her and your wife both.

Arnav: What the!! Di why you didn't inform me earlier? He asked feeling stupid, if anyone have told him, he would have got gifts for both earlier.

Khushi: It's ok Arnav ji.

Arnav: No. it's not! Umm Payal you'll get your gift today only by evening and Khushi also. He left the table instantly but not before taking the bowl of kheer with him making other laugh.

Anjali: Akash! Where is your gift for Payal? Akash blushed and nodding gift for Payal.

Akash(to Payal):

Anjali praised Akash's choice and NK teased the couple, smiling at them Khushi started clearing the mess and Payal also joined her, after completing all the work both left to their respective rooms.

Khushi entered inside the room to see Arnav getting ready and talking with Aman on phone. Shaking her head she moved towards him and stood now facing him. Arnav raised his one eyebrow asking "What" and she signed him to complete his talk first.

Arnav(after finishing the call): Now tell me what happened?

Khushi: Where are you going?

Arnav: of course Khushi, office.

Khushi: No!

Arnav: What the! Why?

Khushi(sighed): and I thought Arnav Singh Raizada is actually being a good and romantic husband.

Arnav: What the!! Khushi...

Khushi: Stop your What the! What the!

Khushi: Which husband leaves his newly wed wife alone and go to office. Look at Akash jiju, he is not going to join office till next week.

Arnav: oh so that's the matter! Khushi, you see Akash was pre-prepared with his marriage and holidays but I wasn't even having an ounce of idea till last evening that I'll be married on same day.

Khushi: hmm you're right! I am sorry.

Arnav: Don't be! Haven't I told you I am more than happy with these sudden turn of events, because now I have you beside me. And I'll try to come back early.

Khushi: It's ok. You take care of your work but I was saying because today it's pag phera rasam and you have to leave me at Gupta house.

Arnav: Excuse me! Why'll I leave you there? As far as I know girls stays with their husband after marriage not go back to her maayka again.

Khushi: Laad governer! Di is right you know nothing about rituals. You'll leave me there, it's a rasam and in evening you'll come to pick me up from my house again.

Arnav: Ohh! Sorry.

Arnav: Get ready then! I'll drop you than I'll leave for office. Khushi nodded and left to get ready.

Arnav dropped Khushi to GH along with the gifts family sent and after taking blessings from her family he left for office, same with Payal and Akash.

Khushi and Payal spent whole day with their family removing their tension which every parents have, if their daughters are happy in sasural or not. Gupta's was happy to see their daughters glowing in happiness and for getting the best son-in-laws they ever thought. It's true everything happens for good, if payal would have been married that day to that selfish family, they wouldn't have got son-in-laws like Arnav and Akash.

After having Lunch when all left to take some rest, Khushi and Payal was sharing their feelings and happiness in their room. In between Khushi suddenly laid her head on Payal's lap, being the elder sister Payal understood that something is bothering her. On asking and after little bit persistence, Khushi told her all , how Shyam black mailed her last night and how she has taken the decision to leave everything when Arnav proposed her and looking at how much he loves and she also had feelings for him, she said yes.

Khushi: But now I am scared Jiji. He'll be there around me under same roof now.

Payal: You're so stupid. Why didn't you tell anyone?

Khushi: I can't. Anjali ji and Arnav ji will be so hurt. We have to wait for the right time.

Payal: I understand Khushi, but I just hope in waiting for right time, it doesn't get too late.

Khushi: Jiji please, I am already scared.

Payal: Don't worry, with you I'll be also there. We'll deal with him together.

Khushi: Thanks jiji. ... before she can continue they heard the sound of horn indicating the arrival of their partners.

After having the evening brunch with Gupta's, Arnav and Akash left taking their wives with them also with return gifts from Gupta's. After reaching RM, Khushi and Payal got busy with their new family whereas Arnav and Akash left to get fresh and change into casuals. After having dinner all settled in living room except Arnav who joined later carrying a bag in his hand.

Arnav: umm Payal! Here's your gift from me and Khushi.

He said handling her the bag and brought another envelope again giving it to Payal " and this is for both you and Akash".

Anjali: Wow Chotte! Two gifts? Payal ji open them na.

Payal nodded and opened the first packet with a smile, all looked eagerly as Payal opened the box.

Arnav(to Payal):

Everyone praised his choice, of course ASR's choice is unique, then Akash opened the envelope.

Anjali: What is it?

Akash: Bhai? Trip to Bali?

Anjali: Wow Chotte!

Manorma: HHBB Bali?

Arnav: Yea their honeymoon trip. Everything is already arranged, you and Payal will leave in another three days.

Nani: Sahi Kiyat rahe bitwa. (you did right).

NK: Wow Akash, you got holdidays , now you can enjoy your newly married life for few days with Nannav's shouting and work pressure.

Arnav glared at him, but he continued again.

NK: Waise Nannav where are you going with Khushi ji?

Anjali: Yes chotte, where are you going?

She asked excited giving teasing looks to Khushi who just looked down unable to hide her blush. Arnav once looked at Khushi then with a sigh to others.

Arnav: Nowhere!

"What?" All exclaimed even Khushi looked at him confused.

Arnav: Yes there is so much work in office. Me and Akash both can't be absent from office. Let Akash and Payal go, as their marriage was already fixed and arrangement was made earlier. Me and Khushi can go later, once Akash and Payal get back, I'll plan something. This way even work will not get affected.

Akash: But bhai you and Khushi ji can go instead of me and Payal. We'll go later!

Arnav: No Akash this arrangements was made for you and Payal only. So guys go and enjoy! I and Khushi can go later, right Khushi? He asked now looking at her who nodded with a smile.

All agreed with him and it is decided that Akash and Payal will leave for their honeymoon after three days.

Superb update

Seriously Khushi needs to tell the truth about Shyam before it is too late, and it creates a big miss understanding in the family and also between her and Arnav

Loved it

Arnav is changing himself for Khushi which is making her happy, hope he supports her in time of her need when the truth comes out. Glad at least Khushi shared her worries with Payal about shyam threatening her previous night. Hope till Khushi tells everything to Arnav, Payal will be with her and not leave Khushi alone. Waiting for the next one.
