Devakshi OS Dev's dilemma

Dev still could not digest the news he just received...

There were only 7% chances of his Sona becoming a mother...

The very thought brought tears to him...His Sona would be shattered if she comes to know this...

He went to see Sona who just finished off all her tests and is exhausted and lying on the bed right now...

She stirred ever so lightly,opened her eyes slightly blinking and saw Dev standing near her bed post...

Something in the way he was looking at her made her heart sink...something was definitely wrong...

She got up from the bed all of a sudden 'Dev kya hua...tum itne pareshan kyun lag rahe ho...sab teek hai??maa baba kaha hai...'

'Ssshh...Sonakshi...kuch nahi hua..Dev said trying to be as normal as he could...'tumhe is halat mein dekhke mein ghabra gaya tha...maa baba ghar pe hai aur sangeet ki preps mein busy hai...tum batao ab kaisi feel kar rahi ho...'Dev asked cupping her face with his hands...

'Pata nahi Dev achanak se yeh pet dard...reports aaye hai kya...mein doctor se baat karun?mein khud ek doctor hu mujhe khud lag raha hai ki kuch toh hai jo teek nahi hai...'Sona spoke as if she was thinking aloud...

Dev tried convincing her 'aisa kuch nahi hai Sona...i just spoke to doc..he told me ki thakan ke wajah se hai aur thoda sa aaram ki jaroorat hai...'

'Thakan ke wajah se pet dard??kya bol rahe hai yeh doc...mujhe ek baar doc se baat karne do Dev'she tried getting up but Dev stopped her anxiety clouding him

And Dev spoke in a shrilled tone 'kuch nahi hua bolana Sona...kuch anaab shanab khaayi hai thoda sa food poison hua hai...hum log jo kal khaye the shayad hazam nahi hua tumhe...'Dev finished trying to sound sensible..

Food poison seemed to work on our nutritinoist mind...'isiliye toh i keep telling bahar ka khana is not good...tum sunte hi nahi ho.dekho shaadi se pehle patient banadi mujhe...'saying she pouted looking like a puppy at Dev..

Dev couldnot resist her when she was like that...'he cupped her face and bent to kiss her forehead and pulled her into his arms..

I cannot tell her...not at this minute...i cannot see her unhappy and i cannot lose her...these thoughts were going in his head...A feeling to protect her from everything and everyone enveloping him he hugged her tightly...

Sona felt secure after so many days...She felt she finally found her home...Dev

Please let me know if i should continue or not...

Part 2:

Dev just reached home after dropping his Sona at her house...

He tried avoiding everybody's questions at Bose's house by just telling that the reports are normal and asled them to make her take rest. He didn't want to disclose this news to Sona's parents as well.

They were already too tired and hectic in their sangeet and wedding prep...let this wedding be over,he will speak to everyone he thought...

Dev came to his room,locked it and finally opened the reports...'he remebered the talks he had with Sonakshi about kids...the memory brought fresh tears...his Sona would be shattered with this news...but this has to be disclosed to her...but this is not the right time...

For a minute he felt like running to his mom and keep his head on her lap and cry...Why these things are happening...why should his Sona suffer always...

Not able to stand his loneliness anymore,he went to meet his mom...

Ishwari ji is busy arranging things for the ceremony tomorrow...She's just praying that everything goes good...Finally her son is happy...Her bua also came today...hope she doesn't find any faults with all the doings in the ceremony...

Ishwari ji thoughts were interrupted when Nikki and Riya strode into her room fighting for some jewellery as usual...

maa this is so beautiful chain...yeh mat bolo yeh bhi Sona di Ke liye hai...Nikki made a face.

Sona ko Sona bhabhi bhulana seekhlo...saying so Ishwari ji added yeh waise bhi Dev ke honewale bacche ke liye banwaya Maine...added Ishwari ji adoringly

Dev who just came to meet his mother caught her last words...he felt as if someone was churning his insides...one side his love Sona would be heart broken other side his mom will be depressed...and worst of all is he, Dev Dixit who takes care of all the situations is at a loss...He is so helpless...But his mind was made up no matter what he's not going to leave his Sona's hand...She is the very oxygen to his life...somehow he has to prepare his mom...'maa tumhe janana hoga ki mein kabhi baap nahi bansaktha hu'...

Dev's reverie was broken when Nikki cried out loudly 'maa kya hua..'Ishwari ji was about to fall down when Nikki and Riya made her to sit

Dev instantly ran to his mother...'maa kya hua...Nikki doc ko phone laga...'he was literally shouting at the top of his voice.

' Dev beta kuch nahi hua hai..subah se kaam kar rahi hu na bas thak gayi hu..Nikki aa doc ko phone karne ki zaroorat nahi hai...'Ishwari tried to convince her son...

'Maa tum phirse vrat rakho to kya ..'asked Dev and when his mom didn't reply Dev snapped out...'bas yahi baaki reh gaya...thakan se hospitalize hoja...kyun maa khud ki khayal nahi rakhoge toh kaise maa

Accha Baba maaf karo Nikki mere liye khanaleke aa khalungi...replied Ishwari ji...

Making sure that his mom has finally slept,Dev switched off the lights of her room and came back...He wished to speak to his mom but looking at her condition he thought of not talking about it now...He would let everybody know about the news only after the wedding...He will first talk to his Sona and then to everyone else ...

Dev and Sonas wedding preparations have started at full swing...Tonight is the sangeet...His sisterz already in full preps for the sangeet tonight,he could hear loud music playing around.Dev was but oblivious to all the celebration he wanted to meet Sona right away...he is just worried that she doesn't exert herself much...

He rang to sona's phone which was answered by Elena...

'Elena,Sonakshi ab kaisi hai...ek baar use phone do...'

'Sona ab bilkul teek hai Dev jiju...replied Elena and teasingly added 'waise shaam ko aap use milne waali hai sangeet mein so shes busy now...she will not talk...'before Dev could talk anymore Elena cut his call...

Knowing full well that he will not be able to talk to Sona anymore,he tried preparing himself for the ceremony...

Finally his wait was over...Sona and her family is here for the Sangeet...He couldn't stop himself...he rushed downstairs to receive them...but he was stopped by his bua dadi saying that 'ladki waalon ko dulha swagat nahi kar saktha' ..

On the other hand,Sona wanted to meet her Dev ...Finally her dream is becoming a reality...She is getting married to her Love Dev...sangeet being the first celebration ..As soon as she entered Ishwari Mansion,her eyes searched for that one person who made her life so special ...she could see everyone except for Dev...

Part 3:

He slowly moved to her side...With each step he took to her brought reminders of the doc's words and with that brought a fresh feel of fear that his Sona's smile might not be forever...He tried to wave away the fears and smile hard...

If he avoid Sona's eyes which read his very soul that would be enough for now thought Dev...

Dev and Sona were made to sit in a couple chair and Dev couldn't take his eyes off his beauty...

Sona lightly pushed him and said ' Dev yeh koi sapna nahi hai na...hum dono ki families humare shaadi karwaa rahe hai...hum dono ek hone waale hai...with that last statement Sona looked at him...Dev felt a lump in his throat...Clearing his throat he said 'sona yeh sach hai aur haa hum dono ek hone waale hai aur aajse mein poori khoshish karunga ki hamesha tumhe khush rakhu saying so he held her hand as if it was his very lifeline...

Dev and Sona were lost in each other only to be interrupted by Nikkis announcement that the performances would start now...

Elena has pulled Dev and Sona to the stage...

They played Tera Sang Yaara...Dev pulled Sona to swirl her,with each movement Sona was either coming too close or looking too deeply into his eyes...Maybe the song or Sonas smile or her closeness Dev couldn't get what it is but Dev's fear was gripping his heart...He tried again and again to not look at sona's eyes lest she finds that something was wrong...But he couldnt stop himself...he wanted to pull her in his arms and keep her safely there making sure nothing hurts her...At the very minute Sona touched his face...it was all that was needed to break him from inside...he slowly touched her face as if any harshness would break his very soul Sona...He was looking at her...his eyes spoke more than his lips...

Sona was more than happy with all the happenings but there was something in Devs eyes...happiness and some kind of sadness...But why would her Dev would be sad on their special day...

Their thoughts were interrupted by the audience applause...

Sona and Dev just smiled and moved out of the stage...then the other performances continued with Nikki and sisters and then Vicky and his friends...

Sona was observing Dev...she could very well sense now that Dev was trying to avoid her...He was sitting next to her but he is lost in his world...Some thing was definitely wrong...she has to talk to him . .Dev's shout interrupted her...Vicky pulled Elena's veil as a kind of Masti .but neither Dev nor his family was into such kind of nonsense...he gave black and blue to Vicky...

Then the perfomances continued...With every passing minute Sona could feel Dev's discomfort...When he was back at her side,she tried speaking to Dev...' Dev Sab...' her flow was interrupted by his bua-daadi who came to bless them...Sona didnot even pay attention to her words as if in automatum she just nodded her head and took blessings...

Before she could say anything more bua daadi was with Elena and she took some currency notes and was swirling them around Elena...Elena tried avoiding her but bua daadi just continued..Sona could see that Elena was losing her temper...She knew any moment Elena would retaliate ...

Before she could move or speak anything...Elena stopped bus daadi from whatever she was doing...and now bua daadi was beyond herself with anger...How could a girl stop her like that. .Sona knew it was time for her to intervene...she first apologized asked Elena to apologise as well and then explained that in their Bengali tradition only to Koteh dancers the money is thrown...Elena is more into that culture...But she also addressed Elena and said 'Elena when bua daadi is doing it you don't have to think like that...please apologise...'both bua-daadi and Elena seemed a bit better and the ceremony continued...Sona let out a sigh of relief...She moved to back to take her place beside Dev when she saw him with a rare look...there was some thing in his eyes...Pride

Kya hua Dev...

He just smiled and said ' My Sona...kisi bhi situation ko kitni acchi tarah se handle karti to tum...He bend towards her ever so lightly...but Sona was full alert of his intentions and tried stopping him by pushing him a bit far

Kya hua Ms.Bose aap kya expect kar rahi thi. .he said by winking at her ...For the first time in the ceremony Sona felt light and very happy..because at the very minute Dev was himself...

He took her hand in his hand and entwined his fingers with hers and smiled back at her...His grip was slightly tighter than required as if loosening it would make her move away from him...and there Sona could see his eyes clouding again with sadness..she is sure Dev is definitely hiding something from her...She has to speak to him now...
