Okay, the way I see it is that janta looks at the overall performance and judges it based on that. Overall performance includes dancing, personality, looks, behavior, and contestant's background. That seems to be the trend that I see in various talent shows. I mean, Sudha Chandran was a great dancer but she was voted out because people felt that she was far too old and was already a dancer. Ronit was voted out because he appeared arrogant to most. At least that's the way I see it. And Prachi won because she was a great dancer (though not as great as Sandhya but very close) and she was young, beautiful, sweet, and just the kind of person that most people adore. Her popularity also helped. So overall, I feel that janta had really made a sensible choice because presentation is everything. When I watched the performances, my eyes would remain on the contestants until their spotlight is over (that is, when it is time for the next contestant to appear). So I baically judged on everything from beginning to end because I feel that it is all about presentation and how people carry themselves. Sandhya I felt was a fabulous dancer yet her fierce expressions and her sort of arrogant attitude was a turn off for me. She kinda struck me as venomous at times. Sorry if this offends you but it is how I see it. 😳
Although I have to say that I agree that judges should have more power than janta namely because good dancers (like Sudha) wouldn't have been ousted so early like that. Nor would Mika have been allowed to stay on for so long as he did.
Oh well. To each his own.
