Portrayal of women in Ishqbaaz

The modern Indian woman is one that has not been represented well by daily soaps.Ishqbaaz is the only show I've ever seen which is properly dealing with this problem.In most daily soaps girls are below guys,which is ironic since they're usually the leads. You can see that the authority is with the man,and the women seem to have no problems with this.

They also seem to have this crazy idea of this perfect woman. Of you watch most shows,they seem to have a goody two shoes female who has never had a boyfriend,never broken rules and never made a mistake. The girl has to be kind and forgiving while the guy can be arrogant and mean. The girl has to always understand the guy but the guy is too busy to try and understand her.

All of this is so unrealistic,and the sad thing is that the girls who don't follow these 'rules' are always portrayed negatively . Even in the so called youth shows,the female lead is always like this,take nandini in KYY,or Navya from the show Navya.They tend to show spunk in the beginning but after a while they become quiet and take on the role as the perfect girlfriend/wife

And when they show the so called 'modern' girl they like go out of their way to show that she'll never get the guy. Lavanya from IPKKND,or even Tia from this show.

Why is Priyanka used as an accessory in this show? Why is Pinky always the comedic relief?I like how this show is asking these questions, They're showing us that these characters also have feelings and that they are also human ,and for that I commend this show👏

Shivaay is arrogant and rude (but has a heart of gold) like every other male lead. At least this show is telling us that there are guys like Omkara.Om has proven that to be a guy doesn't mean that you don't have feelings,it doesn't mean that you need to be rude.He is a breath of fresh air,and so is his love interest Ishana

If you really look at Ishana,she is actually the kind of girl who'd be a negative character.She is two faced,tries to get Om to leave his girlfriend and selfish.She doesn't really have the personality of a typical female lead which is perfect for Om,because in a way the roles have been reversed.The girl is the flawed character and the guy is the pure one.

couples like shivaay and Anika are Gul's speciality .She has made people fall in love with this couple the same way she made people love the couple in QH,IPKKND and more. It is a story that we all love. Anika has many similarities to most typical female leads but she's also different from them in many ways.So overall I think that especially in the recent episodes women have been potrayed really well in ishqbaaz,better than most shows I've seen on indian television
