Kajol has lauded her husband and filmmaker Ajay Devgn's co-production 'Parched', saying the film is about women and friendship.

Kajol on Monday evening tweeted: "'Parched'. A film about women, friendships and simply being brave enough to find a happier ending. Being happy could just b a guilt free choice."

Directed by Leena Yadav, 'Parched' stars Radhika Apte, Tannishtha Chatterjee, and Lehar Khan. The film is set to hit the screens on September 23.

Set in rural India, 'Parched' follows the lives of three ordinary women who begin to break free from centuries-old traditions.

Men need to learn what women are and how to behave with them: Ajay gets candid

Ajay today launched the trailer of his highly-acclaimed movie Parched and the actor had some really wise words to share.

Talking about the movie, the 47-year-old actor said, "This film is not just about women... It is also about men to learn. It's society's pressure, I would say, which forces men to do the things they do, apart from the mindset..."

He added, "From the film, there is nothing much that women need to learn about what is happening with them. I feel men need to learn what women are, and how to behave with them."

Parched released first in 2015 after it was screened under Special Presentations sections of the Toronto International Film Festival.

The movie that stars Radhika Apte, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Surveen Chawla has been produced by the Shivaaystar under his banner Ajay Devgn FFilms.

Directed by Leena Yadav, the film will hit the cinemas on September 23.
