This book isn't great, it's definitely not as exciting or thrilling as the Harry Potter series, but it's not bad either. It's good for a one-time read, with light entertainment and some comic scenes, that's all.
The best character in this book was Scorpius. He has such an air of innocence and sweetness around him, he kind of reminds me of young, lost Harry when he first boarded the Hogwarts Express. He has a sense of humor which is refreshing, and he's extremely loyal. I'm surprised he wasn't sorted into Hufflepuff. That house would have been perfect for him, more than Slytherin.Albus Potter in this book was a huge disappointment. He's a spoiled brat, in plain and simple terms. He belittles his father's difficulties in life and takes everything for granted. He has little respect for his father and moans about being the son of "famous Harry Potter", not realizing how lucky his life is.In reality, Albus has absolutely nothing to complain about. He has loving parents and a great life, but he acts like he's such a tragic hero, and at one point he even betrays Scorpius. I didn't like that at all.Albus was my least favorite character in this book.So for me, this book is NOT part of canon, no matter what others may say. It's simply a published fanfiction that's entertaining and has its positive points.

True!! Scorpius was hardly slytherin material.. he wud have been a better hufflepuff or ravenclaw considering he was SMART..Albus was an entitled brat really.. considering that even Ron had entered Hogwarts with baggage of famous brothers and Harry with famous parents, they handled it lot better than albus did..i did not get how and why James was never there to guide him being an elder brother and all..
Completely agree with u...Such a loving parents like Harry and Ginny, Albus have, still he complains being the son of famous Harry Potter...instead of feeling proud of his father's deeds and bravery, he prefers to belittle him...and never respect his father's sentiments which part is really annoying...Yeah Scorpius is really a loving and sweet person and have an awesome sense of humour like Ron...I just adore himOriginally posted by: ..RamKiJanaki..

Yes Ron is the perfect example...he never taken anything for granted instead of having so many famous brothers...Still he didn't try to isolate himself in Hogwarts and started making friends of his own which Albus fails to do...The biggest problem in this book is that they don't feel to explore any characters starting from James to Rose except a few scenes...Originally posted by: anu rulz
