Rank | Last week | Film | Plusses | Minuses |
| 1 | Om Shanti Om | After being displaced by 'Jab We Met' for a few weeks in succession, 'Om Shanti Om' regained it's #1 position last week. This week again it holds on to the top slot as the remix album along with the song DVDs/VCDs are out as well. | None |
| 2 | Jab We Met | 'Jab We Met' will certainly end the year with a head high and great self esteem and respect. No one expected either the music or the film to scale the kind of heights it has managed to over the weeks. The film has completed 50 days at the box office but the sound of 'Mauja Hi Mauja' and 'Nagada' can be heard from a distance. | None |
| 4 | Welcome | Interesting. Star power has worked, and how! And along with that some eye catchy picturisation with a high dose of funk and spunk. One after another, a song apiece from the film is being unleashed and heavily promoted with audience continuing to giving 'Welcome' a Thumbs-Up. This one is a surprise winner! | Audio wide the songs sounded pedestrian to begin with but lavish presentation and well cut promos have camouflaged this weakness |
| 3 | Dus Kahaniyaan | It's a surprise that the album has still maintained it's Top-5 position even though the promotion has come to a near standstill. The film's below expectation run has so far not done too much harm to the album's prospects though one is sure that the album would have done wonders if the film had performed otherwise. | One has to wait to see if the album continues to survive in Top-5 because the songs were hardly present in the film |
| 5 | Khoya Khoya Chand | Just like 'Dus Kahaniyaan', 'Khoya Khoya Chand' is lucky to find itself in the Top-5 charts. The film is making a hasty disappearance from the theaters though Shantanu Moitra's score is fortunately continuing to find admirers. | From this point on, soundtrack of 'Khoya Khoya Chand' has to survive solely on it's own since the promotion is expected to come to a standstill |
| 8 | Saawariya | With nothing much working at the music stands and new albums like 'Showbiz' and 'Halla Bol' not yet making their mark, it is back to the tunes of 'Saawariya' entertaining the audience. Monty soundtrack has truly made a comeback this week and may just about stick around the familiar terrain till new albums arrive. | 'Jodha Akbar', 'My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves' and 'Sunday' are expected to arrive on the stands soon which means that there is good struggle ahead for 'Saawariya' |
| 6 | Goal | Hanging on, well just about, 'Goal' has enjoyed a decent stint in the charts. 'Ishq Ka Kalma' may not have become another 'Hare Krishna Hare Raam' but in totality the music has been likeable for this sports film. | Longer run of the film coupled with ton loads of hype may have just about given audience a new 'Chak De' in the form of 'Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal' |
| 7 | Aaja Nachle | With nothing new arriving at the stands, 'Aaja Nachle' continues to hover around at the bottom of the charts. Best song from the album, 'Ishq Hua', has seen a belated promotional drive and one hopes that 'Aaja Nachle' benefits to some extent from it's arrival. | How much one wishes that songs 'Ishq Hua' and 'Is Pal' were more prominently placed in the film? |
| 9 | Taare Zameen Par | This one may well be a record for an Aamir Khan movie. For weeks, 'Taare Zameen Par' has stuck on to it's # 9 position in spite of zero challenge from any new releases. Songs like 'Jame Raho', 'Bam Bam Bhole' and 'Maa' have arrived and found appreciation but still one is not witnessing queues for this Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy soundtrack to be picked up. | Only hopes for this album to get it's due now is a theatrical run. Come 21st December and we should have an answer. |
| 10 | Bhool Bhulaiyaa | One waits to see if the chants of 'Hare Krishna Hare Raam' are heard along with Jingle Bells and New Year revelry as well. Indications are, yes they would! | Wish there were more songs in the film picturised on Akshay Kumar |
