Maut Ka Hathoda: 4^th September, 2016

Karan, Madhu and Ayesha come to a mansion. As they talk excitedly, a young chap named Vinay from the neighbouring house greets them rather weirdly. He tells that his mother makes delicious food and just then his mother comes out and yells at him to go inside the house. Vinay then calls them closer and tells them to lock the house and be inside by 8pm and to not open the door and he goes away. The other three take their baggage and go inside. Karan gives each of them a key and says he has got to leave now to get his car and also to meet his mother. Ayesha also says she has to leave to complete a project. Later, at night, Madhu is alone and she hears someone banging the door. She tries to call Karan, whose phone is switched off and she calls Ayesha who has left her phone in the house itself. She switches off all the lights and hides behind the sofa and then we see the door open and someone entering with a hammer.

Next morning, Ayesha arrives and opens the door with her spare key. She and her friends look all over the house and they find a hammer with a blood stain on the floor.

The team investigates and Dr. Salunkhe says that whoever has been hit with the hammer would be dead by now. Abhijeet also tells that there are no signs of forced entry and wonders where the corpse might be. All the things at home were untouched. They ask the friends and one guy tells that Karan had got this house for Madhu and Ayesha, and that the former was Karan's girlfriend. Ayesha tells that she had been to her cousin's house and since it was late, she stayed there only and she could not inform Madhu because she had left her phone back here. Dr. Salunkhe on the other hand is searching for bloodstains. Ayesha here calls Karan's mom and they learn that Karan had lied to them. Ayesha tells about their neighbours. They ask the neighbours- Ramola and her son Vinay. Vinay tells that the hammer man came the previous night and was banging on their door. Ramola tells that the man wears a mask. Vinay tells that the previous night he saw a man and a woman in front of a car, through his window after which his mom had shut it.

They check the back yard and Salunkhe finds mud with algae. Soon, they reach the moist bank of a lake and Salunkhe sir confirms that the mud has been from here. Abhijeet finds something in the water far away and calls Daya to show it. They call the divers and a crane and they lift car up. In the dickey they find Karan's corpse. They guess that the hammer man killed him (judging by the lethal wound on his skull) and then put him in the car and pushed him into the lake. Daya says it may be the work of one bulky dude or two people.

Dr. Salunkhe checks the car and finds a fabric that does not match with that of Karan's. Tarika finds a diamond ring. Dr. Salunkhe tells that if someone had been driving the car, he or she would have adjusted the mirror.

In the lab we see, Dr. Salunkhe working with the mirror and the trio enters. He tells that the blood on the hammer matched with Karan's and the ring is Madhu's. ACP rules out the possibility of Madhu being a murderer because if she wore the ring always, it wouldn't fall off her fingers easily and tells that it has been done to frame her.

Karan's phone record reveals that at 6.44pm, he and Ayesha left the house and at 7.15pm he had dropped Ayesha. He takes a U-turn back and at JC market at 7.30, another person (Rohit) meets him or 10mins and exactly at 8.40 his phone goes off. They ask Rohit who tells that he had met Karan after 2 months. The other day in JC market, we see Rohit meeting Karan who comes from a gift shop telling he wants to surprise someone and rushes off telling it was getting late for him. ACP sir leaves him but warns him to not go anywhere unless the case is solved. They wonder what Karan might have bought at the shop and Daya wonders if it is the mask. They reveal that Karan had last spoken to Kumud. Abhijeet tells that Vinay had seen some girl with something sparkling in her hand and they guess it to be Kumud because she had been wearing the same thing that day .

They search Kumud's house and find it almost empty. Abhijeet finds the photos of Ramola and Vinay. They suspect the two of them to be involved in this.

They break open the house and go inside. Abhijeet asks them to search the house and he himself finds something peculiar about a wall. They break it down and find Madhu dead inside with the same kind of wound on her head. They wonder how come the wall dried so fast on a rainy day like that. Pankaj says that he noted a shop where industrial stuff would be given on rent. Pankaj brings in the man and he says that the lady and the guy are frauds, calling themselves actors.

The guy who posed as Vinay gets a call from Champa who is Purvi in disguise. She tells him that he had been selected by their firm for a role and the shooting would start in two days, except that they need a person to play his elder sister. He offers to solve the problem and soon calls his mausi (the lady who played Ramola). They are soon surrounded by CID and ask for Kumud.

We see Vinay on a roadside calling someone and the phone rings nearby with a girl in a purdah. She asks him why he called her and he tells that CID told him to. Purvi slaps her and takes her to the bureau.

In the bureau, we see Ayesha and others standing. ACP sir asks Ayesha to recount what happened. Abhijeet tells Ayesha that she had deliberately left the phone at home so that Madhu won't be able to get help from her and Ayesha strongly denies it. And Abheer tells that he had met Ayesha and Madhu only 4 days ago and that his phone was switched off because it fell into the water, which Daya corrects it as the swamp where they had found the car. Vinay and Ramola continue to deny doing anything. They bring in Kumud, who apologizes to Rohit for telling his name.

Rohit confesses that he killed them. Madhu had been his girlfriend for 5 years before Karan had come in with a lot of money and so she left him in a matter of 5 mins. He wanted his revenge and so he became the hammer man. He had gotten his chance to fulfil the revenge of 3 months when Karan asked him to look for a house for Madhu. He had rented the neighbouring house under Kumud's name and placed Vinay and Ramola there. Then on the night, he and Kumud had entered and killed Madhu and also Karan who entered the house as a fake hammer man. The two together then, had pushed his car into the swamp.

ACP delivers the phansi dialogue.
