Hey Ayushi and @Lizjoze (sorry not aware of your name). Since you both were talking about this, I thought to quote both of you and explain my stand rather than explain individually.
Yes of course!! The first reaction has no connection with the past or future. When you see something, you react that way, without analyzing about your own past. Ragini definitely cannot sit and analyze that "oh I did that in the past so I shouldn't give shocked reaction". Nor do I want her to that and nor did I said that.
I am a part of the audience and since we are talking about first reaction, lets just talk about the first reaction.
Lets talk about the sisters bond. The sisters in the show are shown more as soulmates than the couples themselves. But can majority of us accept it? Maybe there are people who would be loving them but there are majority right who wouldnt enjoy it and even if it is the loveliest scene between the sisters, majority would be sitting and rolling eyes. Why? Thats their first reaction and why this first reaction? Coz you cannot connect to the sisters bond.
In the similar way, if there is a SanLak scene, even though the boy did have their major share of differences, the majority of SR viewers, irrespective of the fandom, will enjoy them without cribbing. Why? Because there is a connect to the brothers bond.
In the same way, people who doesnt like Swara as a character, whenever she will be shown giving any message, the first reaction of the people disliking her character who say something like "ho gaya jagat mata ka bhashan shuru". No matter how genuine she is going to be, people will still say that.
Laksh use to be a character I hated more than anything. But now I adore him and especially love him in his scenes with Sanskaar. Again why? Because I can find a connect with him. When I was mentioning about my first reaction to Ragini, I could have said the same thing for Laksh. Laksh also almost did the same thing that Ragini and AdRi did. The only difference was he wasnt insulting as they were. He was just ignorant. But I didn't bring that up in this post. Why? Because I could connect and feel his change. The only problem I have with him is his impulsive nature and that too if that is able to save the family, I have no issues with that. In fact I am rooting for his impulsive decision to turn out positive this time. I dont bring up Sanskaar's past deeds and roll my eyes. Just because Sanskaar and Laksh has been able to touch my heart.
When Ragini would be shown worrying about Swara in a RagLak scene, your first reaction will not be awww!! Your first reaction would be wanting to smack her and ask her to worry about her husband and not her sister. And it will be the same in our case as well. But if it will be Laksh worrying about Ragini in SanLak scene or Sanskaar worrying about Swara in SanLak, our reaction will be different. We will go 'awww'.
Just listed out different scenarios to explain that when a character hasnt reached your heart or you haven't been able to find a connect yet, your first reaction is not going to be similar to what has been shown on television. And the entire fault is of CVs. They haven't been able to make Ragini touch my heart the way they have done it with SwaSan and Laksh. And hence, I added that its taking time for me to process that she is positive. If I had already processed, then obviously my reaction would have been similar to what Ragini's was and I would have empathized with her like I do with SwaSan and Laksh. And when I am stating my first reaction, I am not bashing her. I am just stating what I felt when I saw that scene!!!!
And yes @Lizjose, I really want the girls to start working rather than waste their time spying and doing nothing else. I really really really hope that CVs keep focusing on the couples more.
