so far, until pratham declares his love, story was exactly like a walk to remember. scenes:

1. gauri = jamie (mandy's character)
2. bad boy pratham = landon (shane west)
2. pratham gives gauri a dress, but then denies his friendship with her in front of his friends.
3. the play
4. and if gauri is going to die...maybe she too will get diagnosed with some terminal disease.

ah, inspiration from a book is something else. but wish they acknowledged it. anyway, are you sure the film came out later. b/c the film was released in 2002, and I thought kutumb came out 2004/2004

when did kutumb come out?

though, i went back to read all the written updates on kutumb 2 that i could find, the have like 3 months' of stuff. and the story and dialogue is beautifully written, you just fall in love. you see the life of a such a loving, hopeful, honest couple.

i can't wait to see the episodes. from what we've seen already, they're chemistry is going to be awesome. i don't know why but in kutumb 2 it was always so awkward, even when they weren't fighting. (in fact, they're chemistry was best when they were fighting or were alone, paradoxically). maybe the characters were like that. but that didn't portray a real couple to me, or at least not a real couple that claimed to be in so much love as they did.

i don't know if i believe in "love" but saath? yes. and that's what you see in kutumb 2. the story is just lovely. get ready to melt girls.
