After five years Indian Idol is back with the original veterans

It seems like the veterans are making comeback to where they started. Sonu Nigam and Anu Malik are all set to rerun to TV with Indian Idol season 7. There will be another judge on the show and talks are on with a leading Bollywood actress, who can be part of this. After five years, Sony TV is bringing the original format back once again.

Sonu and Anu might not be singing and composing many songs like they used to be in 90s and early 2000 but they will be back doing what nation has seen them do many years back. They will be judging the seventh season of Indian Idol coming soon on Sony TV. The sixth season came in 2012 but later the channel publicized the Indian Idol Junior format.

The show gave us voices like Abhijeet Sawant, Rahul Vaidya, Prajakta Shukre and Shriram. Anu and Sonu will be shooting for the on air campaign today in Mumbai. Anu Malik remained one of the judges on Indian Idol till the seniors season ended. He has been accompanied by judges like Farah Khan, Alisha Chinai, Udit Narayan and Javed Akhtar. Malik also judged the first Asian Idol held in Indonesia. In Indian Idol 4, he appeared with Sonali Bendre, Kailash Kher and Javed Akhtar.

We know that Sonu Nigam made his debut with Sa Re Ga Ma on Zee TV. He was the host of the show from its start till 1999. He returned as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs International as judge with Suresh Wadkar in 2007. Nigam has also hosted shows like Kisme Kitna Hai Dum on Star Plus (2002), Life Ki Dhun with Sonu Nigaam, Amul Star Voice of India, Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar, X Factor and so on.

As of now, the only singing reality show on air is The Voice India Kids. We are not sure when Indian Idol will come on air. We feel it will be quite soon. Stay tuned for more updates on Bollywood Life...

My fav indin idol

I am so happy

Sony tv is actually bk wit some very good shows

Kapils show,thn some very nice daily soaps,there will be kids dance show very soon, indian idol is coming

Yeah I'm also.so happy for Sony tv as it have to good shows as of now. Now Sonu and Anu the memories will rejoice! Indian Idol is a fab show. Fame Gurukul should return return.
