Nope. That was 100 percent emotional blackmail. If she really wanted to unburden Dev, she'd have encouraged him to have a life outside his family, even have a friend. Who in the world does not have a friend?
But no. She made the statement with a sad face and just so Dev feel uber guilt, followed it up by white sheet and dirty spot and how he got his sister's share of love so pay up statement.
