Is this Dev's state of mind after break-up???

Like many of us, i am also confused about Dev's behavior after his break-up with Sona.

So, just was going through what Dev did after break-up and ended up with this post. I may not good enough to handle the complicated relations shown in the show, so correct me by sharing your views.

Following are the Dev's state of mind after break-up, based on what shown in the episodes,

1. Dev misses Sona : After break-up, even though Dev with his regular routine misses Sona badly and want to see her atleast once. Coincidentally he had a glimpse of her.

2. Stalking : That single glimpse of Sona, triggered him to want for more so he ended up in stalking her. Due to which he came to know about Ritwick and Sona's idea to move on.

3. Anger and Jealous : When he found Sona with other person and her idea to move on, he was angry and jealous at Sona for the fact how she can move on, when he is still thinking and not able to get over of her. He was jealous on Ritwick too, so he hired private detective to know about him, in the intention to find fault at him.

4. Assurance : Unfortunately, the detective's report about Ritwick was clean, so now he need to assure that Sona didn't move on and still is in love with him. So, he tactically made her to visit to their favorite coffee soap and stalked her to see whether she sat in same table, ordered same coffee, cookies etc. as earlier she used to do(Dev, what a way to assure lol 😆).
Next, with his conversation with Saurabh he came to know that Sona is not yet engaged and still loves him. so, he decides to help Sona by breaking or delaying this engagement.

5. Dev's thought to help Sona : Dev, based on his assurance that Sona still loves him and she is trying to move on only for her family, Dev in thought to help her(?), plays his hand in Ritwick's loan and land to cancel or delay the engagement process. When Sona, came to know about it, ended up in challenging to marry Ritwick in a month.

6. Dev's thought about Sona's wrong decision : When Mamaji tried to explain Dev about his decision was wrong and Sona will not be happy without him, he landed up in the thought that Sona's decision of getting married is wrong.(not his, selective memory??)

Coming up,
7. Self destruction : During the date, due to Sona's confrontation to Dev and her siding with Ritwick, he will end up in drinking (as per segments).
8. Self Hurting(??): May be, Dev hurt himself and to turn up in Sona's engagement. (as per promo shoot)

Interesting Points,
1. Till now, at this point Dev not even 0.001% felt that his decision of break-up was wrong. He is aware that he hurt Sona badly to the extent that she may not trust in love. But, he didn't have a second thought or doubt in his own decision of breakup.

2. Till now, no one enlightened Dev about other options, other than breakup. (Why Dev should be enlighten about what he should do and what not, because from the beginning whenever if comes to relation, Dev needs someone to enlighten him always, either Sona, Mamaji or Ishwari even Neha too).

Mamaji was seen talking to Dev about his decision was not right and about his right to live his own life. But, he didn't talk about balancing the relationships and to find out why Ishwari is not happy with this relation.

Sona was also seen showing her anger on Dev's unilateral decision of break-up and removing her from his life in just a second. She too, didn't talk(atleast shout at him in anger) about alternate options of taking time to convenience his mom.I think (once, she tried on the breakup time, but Dev was not in mood to listen anything, due to his initial shock of his mom's condition).

So, the point is Dev till now didn't even doubt his decision of breakup is wrong. Since his first step itself is wrong, his sequence of events are also wrong. Once he come out of the crazy things what he is doing now, then only he will realize that his decision is wrong, which will trigger him to find alternate solutions to solve the problem.

The observation(as many of them said in the forum), is all these events are inter-related and connected to one another, they are actions and reactions. Dev's action of stalking Sona after break up, makes her to move fast and to get engaged and married to Ritwick fast, the reaction of her makes Dev more crazy. I think, CVs are beautifully portraying it.

This is what i perceived from the episodes shown. Hope CVs convincingly show Dev's remorse on his breakup decision and followed by his redemption track. TBH, like this state of transitions.

Initially started with confusing behavior of Dev, but somewhat convinced, now waiting for CVs, how they are going to take it forward.😊

Brilliant post...totally loved it.. 100 % agree that Dev did not realize anything about his wrongness towards Sonakshi and their relationship.

Another thing, Ishwari was right about the young love which has passion but don't have the intensity.

Sonakshi's love failed to make him better person in such a short time span. He did not change slightest and did not learn anything from her and also he did not still learn anything about love. All he think is about him and his family, Sonakshi's feeling, her family members etc still do not matter to him.

@ Hope CVs convincingly show Dev's remorse on his breakup decision and followed by his redemption track. TBH, like this state of transitions.

It is the prime need. But I am afraid about the redemption track. They will show the patch up within an episode or two.

Thank you.😊

Yes, myself also was confused after watching the last two episodes, but after a while thinking about his actions post break-up makes some sense.
Me too, waiting for Dev's realization of his mistake and redemption, hope CVs don't disappoint us.

Thank you.😊

@Bold: Have to agree. Because, still he is same Dev who thinks he can do and get things down using his power and money(as in case of Ritwick's loan and land involvement).

Someone in the forum mentioned this point too(forget the author name) that Dev is repeating his mistake, i.e., the same what he tried to do with Neha (during her first alliance time he was ready to offer 30% of share to that person), Sona(firing her from hospital job, closing all her door to find another job) and with Ranveer(offering flat). etc He is doing same thing with Ritwick now, inspite of Sona taught him how to deal with such situations.
So, from this POV Sona's love didn't have impact of him.

@Bold: I am having huge expectations on CVs, Hope they don't disappoint us in this track of Dev's realization of his mistake and his redemption.
Fingers crossed.
