Ekta Kapoor's production house not backing out of Sonam Kapoor's 'Veere Di Wedding'

The makers confirm that the shooting of 'Veere Di Wedding' has been pushed till March next year

From speculations of Kareena Kapoor Khan opting out from the film to Ekta Kapoor's production house Balaji backing out from co-producing it, it has been a roller coaster ride. Recent buzz was that Balaji has decided to freeze its film making wing till a new business model has been brought up. This was apparently, decided in wake of the under performance of their last production A Flying Jatt.

However, as per BollywoodLife.com, the makers have issued an official statement refuting all the rumours of Balaji backing out from Veere Di Wedding. The statement read, ""There is needless speculation doing the rounds on Veere Di Wedding. We are working together closely, the preps are on and the film is expected to go on the floors in March."

There have also been reports about the film facing budget issues but looks like things are finally falling in place for this film. The helmer Rhea Kapoor had recently stated that they will be shooting some portions of the film in October but the major chunk will be shot in March, 2017 when Kareena will be back. Talking about the locations of the film she had revealed, "The prep required more time than the actual filming. My team has been going all out to make it my best film till date. It's a Delhi-based film and to keep the locations as true to life as possible, we actually knocked on people's' doors, asking, 'Hi, can we shoot here?'. You will see a relatable side of Delhi. Thailand is another possibility but we are still exploring locations."

The movie stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in addition to Kareena.
