As someone who normally points out the too sweetness in the show, i noticed something today about the characters. Barring a few exceptionally sugary interactions, the leads and most of the other characters are very realistic.
For example, in today's episode Bua and Kusum reproached sanchi for not inviting her in-laws home... and she replies that she did, when they refused she did not want to force them. Now that is what typically happens with us right? when a relative drops us home, we invite them in out of courtesy but if they refuse we don't make a big deal out of it. But when you are proposed all the elders scrutinize all actions in terms of what the future in-laws think and "this is how things should be done."
I like that they are showing this aspect of Sanchi. She is not perfect. And even with the Sethia family meeting issue she laughed at it, rather than say how sweet or fall in love with the idea. Things are done differently at her home and it show a realistic aspect that they find things rather odd or weird in the other's household.
And even aryan is not the perfect guy.. he is as of now a carefree guy with no interest in taking up responsibility. Typical behaviour of a guy belonging to an affluent family. He has his father, uncle and brother to look after him. But now he will be served a reality check when he is forced to come to terms with his family financial crisis.
I'm loving these characters.
