Meri kya galti thi..Moment

I guess this moment was lost somewhere among all those posts bashing and praising Shravan for what he did yesterday. (I am not sure, because I couldn't read each and every post here) So just wanted to recall the same.

That was really a heart touching moment. Just a one question and Shravan said it all that he wanted to say to his mother since last 10 years.

But that lady is so stubborn that she couldn't even notice his emotions. Only one thing she knows all the time is he hates her like anything. But she can never see his heart crying for her. Even yesterday when they coincidentally spent a few seconds with each other without any interference, she could have at least asked him, how are you? This could be the least thing Shravan can expect from his so called biological mother. Isn't it?

I know Ramu's interpretation about Suman is wrong. But still if he thinks that she can be next Nirmala and can ruin his son's life. And so he is taking every effort to save Shravan from such kind of disappointment.. I don't think he is wrong anywhere.

Generally protecting a child of any age, from each and every kind of distress is supposed to be a mother's duty. Here, as Ramu is playing both the roles for his son, he is just doing his duty and nothing else. Though he is doing this in a completely wrong manner.

Anyway, who is wrong and who is right..is not the topic that I want to start here again.

Just wanted to say that I cried for Shravan yesterday when he asked Nirmala, Meri kya galti thi?

And Namik's acting in that particular scene.. Do I need to say anything about it?

I commented about it in a few posts...
But that moment.
It tugged at the heart. It actually hurt.
This was a vulnerable man/child asking his mother for comfort.
Asking her what he did wrong? When he was nowhere at fault.
You know kids, when their parent randomly leaves, have a tendency of believing it was their fault that the person left. Now I know shravan was not a kid, but his heart was and is a kid's. This guy never saw his parents love each other, he never had a normal childhood even with nirmala being there but he was keeping life on an even keel.
Her departure left a massive void.

And such a child is asking you, meri kya galti thi and instead of engulfing him in love this woman asks for her step son's happiness! Really! Are you really this shallow!

It was a very impact full scene. Namik slayed it. Went straight through the heart.

Thanks for this post!

Thanx Zoya, for commenting..and as I said I couldn't read each and every post, so I might have missed your other posts.
But what you said is right. Kids are too innocent that they blame themselves, even if their parents are at fault. Yesterday, I could see that youngest Shravan asking Nirmala about his fault and may be that's why the moment touched my heart little more.

All credit goes to Namik..

By the way, lately I missed you on forum. You were busy with your exams right? I hope your exams were good and now you are free from that tension.

Thanks for making this post... I actually did comment on that moment on several threads... It was a heartbreaking moment for me... It just makes me so terribly sad to see the extent of hurt that this man, whose actions we keep questioning, has been harboring for so many years. In the current situation, I can imagine him feeling that nobody (but his dad) really chooses him. His mom chose her freedom (that's what he knows), his soulmate chose someone else, his own family puts their needs over his, his brother Pushkar is so busy in his life that he doesn't even notice Shravan's pain anymore... the list goes on...
I'm sure everyone has their reasons for behaving the way they are, but that's the bottomline, right? He feels taken advantage of because he thinks nobody, including Sumo (he doesn't know her reasons), chose someone else over him.
About the outrage over yesterday's episode, for me personally, it stems from the expectations I have from Shravan's character. He is so much better than the choice he made yesterday. Well, as he said, "raat gayi, beeti baat gayi..."
It's a fresh start for everyone today - and that's something to look forward to! 😛

PS: I had to come back to make one final comment - can we not confuse Shravan with Namik? P.L.E.A.S.E! That he had to put that tweet out yesterday was weird. He's awesome - a very balanced individual (or so it seems). But what does what happened on twitter yesterday say about the fandom? Not sure about that.
