Indians love their dose of the supernatural.

Ekta Kapoor's recently released supernatural show, Brahmarakshas, that airs on Zee TV, has already topped the TRP charts. And we are not that surprised, to be honest. When you mix Ekta Kapoor and a successful formula like 'the supernatural,' things are bound to take off.

'The supernatural formula' is obviously not a new one. Here are five shows that milked the said formula successfully, and created history. Let us know if your favourite one made the cut.

Son Pari

Remember the Star Plus show which featured a golden fairy and a little girl called Fruity? Yes, the same one that all your friends used to rave about throughout your childhood. Well, this is how the story flowed; Fruity rubs a gem and voila out comes a fairy! That simple, guys.

Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani

Ekta Kapoor is not new to the supernatural business, people. The lady has been at it for quite some time now. Yes, we are talking about the hit Twilight-inspired supernatural show Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani. Thank you, Ekta, for giving us Vivian Dsena.

Fanaah

MTV's Fanaah was quite a hit with the youth. But we don't know whether it was because of Karan Kundra or the show's plot. Go figure. And yes, it also had werewolves and vampires, much like Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani.

Hatim

Who can forget the original Hatim that used to air on Star Plus sometime around 2003-04? Everyone was in love with the show, or should we say, Hatim? (played to perfection by the talented Rahil Azam) The show had elements of fantasy, history, and of course, the supernatural.

Naagin

Yes, we obviously have Naagin on the list. How could we not, after all, it was such a success. The show starred Mouni Roy and Arjun Bijlani in lead roles. And please don't get us even started on the plot of the show; we are talking icchadhari naagins, a complicated love story, and the quintessential vamp.

Also, 'this' was an Ekta Kapoor production. She always wins, doesn't she? Well, mostly.

They don't call her queen of the small screen for nothing.
