Have you ever read the story of Solomon's Justice? Solomon was a great king in Egypt. He was famous for his justice.
One day, two women came to his court with a baby. Both claimed the baby was theirs and asked King Solomon to give his judgement on who the baby belongs to.

King Solomon ordered his men to cut the baby in two and give each half to each woman. One woman kept her mouth shut because she thought if she did not get the baby, the other will not either.

But the mother who truly loved her baby cried and asked the King to hand over the baby to the other woman. She'd rather have a happy and alive baby who calls mother someone else than a baby with no life.

The King realized who was the true mother and gave the baby to the woman who was willing to let go her baby for his happiness.

Now, in Dev's situation, Ishwari made sure that she is willing to play any games, stoop to any low as long as she gets Dev, unhappy and suffering or not.

But Sona? She let go of Dev and actually wishes for Dev to move on with the girl his mother chooses because then he can have a life partner and will get to keep his mother happy.

That is true love... It does not bind, it sets free. It does not make you weak, it makes you strong. It never loses, because even in defeat, it wins.

Now Dev does not want to be with Sona because of his mom, but does not want her to be happy either. Today what really made me angry is his line, As long as I love you, you can't move on. He certainly inherited the selfish gene from Ishwari. It's all about my son, my daughter, my mother, my happiness, my comfort, my will, my choice in that family and they cover up their selfishness by showing off and putting an act of care and respect.

Sona is better off without that family.

Like I keep saying the way they are making Dev behave these days makes him look ultra cheap more like the roadside romeos who will harass girls on the streets. 24/7 he is seen stalking Sonakshi and now even Sourabh, doing background checks on Hrithik etc. All this when, it was Dev who took the decision to get separated citing his mom's unhappiness over their relationship. Now what Mr. Dixit ? Is she going to be very pleased when she learns what you are upto ? I really want a huge face-off with Ishwari wherein she is told about her son's antics and then let her swallow the sleeping pills.

I have no idea how the CVs are planning to redeem Dev's character after so much of bitterness unless he is using reverse psychology (as mentioned in some post by Mona) to ensure Sonakshi moves on. Any patch-up after so much of bitterness, accusations etc. sounds hollow.

'If you love someone...set her free...if she is yours..she will come back to you'...dev needs to practice this line...he is becoming dangerous day by day...such a weak man...if you take a decision...stand by it...fulfill the promise but dev can't even make a decision for his own...leave sona alone...his obsession will only make sona hates him...even if he succeeds in getting sona due to his stubborness and obessesive nature...i am sorry to say sona will not have the respect for him which once she had for him...he won her as a trophy only...he won her by stubborness and obsession definitely not by love...sona needs to teach him a lesson...she is not an object whom can win by his stubborness and obsession

WORD. I mentioned the same thing on another post. I just can't get that like out of my head. It's selfishness in its most raw form. We always knew Dev was selfish when it came to Sonakshi. He has said it himself countless times. I have a right on you. You're mine. These lines sound good when Shaheer is spouting them. But if it were any other guy engaging in this sort of behaviour.. it would've come across as supremely creepy. I wonder what the writers have in mind for this character. Why do they always take one idea and then get carried away with it. They did it in Ishwari's case. They showed a possessive mom who is attached to her first born. Then they went overboard with it and turned her into a psycho. They are going down a similar path with Dev I'm beginning to fear.

Yah, sometimes no amount of talking can solve some problems. I feel like the only way Sona and Dev will be able to be together is if they live somewhere else. Ishwari is just too toxic, and no amount of serums and magic can get rid of her toxicity. And Sona doesn't deserve to have to live in that house, ESPECIALLY if RR lives there, NO.
