I want to just congratulate the writers for their work. I know the subject matter is disturbing, but the script, acting and direction is very effective and good. episodes are nail biting and keeps me hooked .

Dev is not in a good place. Break ups can be terrible, especially when the love is very deep and possessive. Dev would've moved on eventually, but Sonakshi's sudden decision to get engaged is killing him. he's unreasonable, angry and completely at the mercy of his jealousy.

He was never ready to let her go. Sonakshi knows that too. This is all because of Ishwari, who's denying her role. Dev was horrified his mother is unhappy because of him. Without thinking he cut Sonakshi out.

He was not given time to regret it, suddenly she's moving on. Replacing him. Smiling like that with another man. turning away from all things that reminds her of him.

(Evil part of me wished Sona could have gone away for a short trip so Dev will suffer the thought of never seeing her again.)

Not sure why he should derive satisfaction from seeing pain in her face over their memories. Why the need to punish her with repeated pain, to see her suffer as he does too? He needs to see that she hasn't replaced him. Poor chap is a basket case over Sonakshi.

Ishwari is not helping either. She gives surface relief and does nothing for her son's turmoil. He has effectively shut her out as well. She sends away the gift Dev has chosen for Sonakshi !? She had no right to do that!? And to write that sanctimonious letter about blessing her. 😡

I echoed what Bijoy said, "Who is she to give blessings to my daughter when she caused so much pain?" I LOVE the righteous anger of the Boses. it's high time someone else told the Dixits off for their high handed behaviour.

The faster Dev realises what his mother has been doing behind the scenes (sending Ritwik her way, telling Sonakshi off, GKB being GKB, sending his gift away to her telling her to shoo off), the faster he'll come out of this strange and dangerous behaviour phase.

He thinks he just broke her heart and sent her away. He doesn't know what his mother and GKB have been doing. Her pain is much worse than he imagines. She is angry at far more than what he knows of.

Remembered this song. Fits Dev's current dilemma perfectly...

Every breath you take
Every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take
I'll be watching you

Every single day
Every word you say
Every game you play
Every night you stay
I'll be watching you

Oh can't you see
You belong to me
My poor heart aches
With every step you take

Every move you make
Every vow you break
Every smile you fake
Every claim you stake
I'll be watching you

Since you've gone I been lost without a trace
I dream at night I can only see your face
I look around but it's you I can't replace
I feel so cold and I long for your embrace
I keep crying baby, baby, please

Oh can't you see
You belong to me
My poor heart aches
With every step you take

I'll be watching you
(Every breath you take, every move you make, every bond you break, every step you take)

I'll be watching you
(Every single day, every word you say, every game you play, every night you stay)

I'll be watching you
(Every move you make, every vow you break, every smile you fake, every claim you stake)

I'll be watching you

Sage..
Beautiful post, Sage. So true. Episodes are so good these days. Kudos to entire team for their work.

Agree with you. Dev is not in a good place. He didn't break up with Sona because there was some misunderstanding between them. He is still in love with her. When they were in relationship, he was always possessive towards Sonakshi. As you said, he didn't get time to repent on his action. He is in shock to see Sonakshi moving on so quickly. Even though I don't relate to Ritvik, I agree with one of 2 kind of things' philosophy today. Girls are stronger than men. Ritvik is too good to true lol.

My heart went out to Dev in the first scene. Strange! Ishwari couldn't understand the reason behind his tears.

Even though Sona was angry with Dev for stalking her, but when she was talking to Elena, she gave justification why he secretly come to see her everyday. Dev misses her friend as well as companion and he doesn't have anyone beside him.

Sona is so mature, she knows Dev more than Ishwari does.

Can't wait to see the upcoming track! :)

Perfect song for Dev's situation. Loved their flashback scene. Simple but beautiful ❤️

P.S:: I am not supporting Dev for his actions. I know, it is disturbing, just trying to see it differently :-)

Well said. I'm so scared for when Dev finds out how the real, flawed Ishwari is, I fear it'll break him. He's revolved his life around a big fat lie of his mom and he's already so fragile at heart. And if he finds out that the one person he's relied on his whole life, is trying to push the love of his life away even more, a new Dev (maybe bad?) will be born.

Gosh! This song is so apt for Dev right now...I love this song but now whenever I hum it its Dev and his cuckoo behavior I'm going to be thinking about. 😭 . He's crossed all boundaries and I seriously hope the makers know and have a fool proof plan to redeem him. He's teetering on the edge of being a psychopath... ( sorry no rotten eggs or tomatoes please 😆 ). I love shaheer and how he portrays Dev as well as Erica as Sona - no complaints in the acting quarter, but... his looney behavior is no longer acceptable.. As many have pointed out, he should work hard to get Sona back( but he has a huge roadblock in the form of his mother) or he should just stay put - and who knows Sona can't be away from him and will fall right into his arms again 😆 . Not to say he should have it easy though - grovel, grovel, grovel and cry buckets Mr. Dev Dixit before you can think of having any chance with your Sona... One more thing he should fight for Sona(as many of us want) and tell his mum boldly that she is the one he needs in his life. Many spoliers( the bane of KRPKAB right now) say Iswari will try to bring Sona back---what the heck?!!! These dixits are total nut cases... I don't want Sona so boot her out , my son is sad because he can't have Sona, bring her back... 😡 . Sona should make them sweat - idiots... 😡 😡

That is one of my favourite songs by the police and sting did such a brilliant job in singing that song...sends chills...so u see dev is not the only one...lol...but jokes aside this apparently happens because Christian grey also stalk Anna tried to interfer with her work etc...a lot of dev fans don't like him to be compared with Christian gray but putting aside the sex indulges of Christian gray dev dixit has similar traits...

Ishwari is a one hell of a crazy puzzle. It's so difficult to understand her. She's so unpredictable. You expect her to think what she's done to her son after Sona gives her a reality check. But what does she do? She tries to remove every memory of Sona from that house...😕 Let me give her an idea...why don't you burn your house like Radha Rani did. Oh & make sure Dev is in the house when you do that. Can't you see that he's burning... He's engulfed in flames that is self-inflicted & that too for whom? For you - his mother...He has absolutely no idea what he's doing. Somewhere I feel, that even to you, he isn't sure what he's doing. He doesn't have anyone to understand him so he's reaching out to the closest person who is around him & sadly that is you.

She sends the proposal to Sona's place expecting her to move on & get out of Dev's life asap & now she sends the gift that her son bought for Sona with so much love...😕 What are you trying to do here?? Tell Sona that her son still loves her??? Am confused!

The Bose's have every right to go & give her a sound trashing. But to think of it they don't need to stoop low like her. Not getting any reaction from them will piss her even more.. Would it?? I've to be kidding!

And about Dev getting to know what his mother has been doing behind his back...when he comes to know the truth he'll do jack shit! He'll just show his sorry-i-didn't-expect-this-from-you face & get back to telling her that it's because of him she was behaving like this...bla bla bla...If he does anything at all then there's hope that Dev will do something good in his life.

Dev isn't thinking...It's only the jealousy in him that's doing the talking & all the actions. Why can't he sit & ponder why he's doing all of this?? Instead of creating more mess & making him look so cheap... He's going to fall in Sona's eyes. She's going to tell him that he's not the person anymore that she fell in love with. Guessing that will shake him & he will then decide to let her go!... Right now there's no light in Dev's tunnel...only darkness!

This song suits Dev so much.. One of my favorites & now I can imagine only Dev when I hum this song... There's a sadistic tone attached to this song. It's all about an obsessive stalker & it's suits Dev's current character. Coming to think of it this song sounds so depressing now...

Perfect song and perfect post !

I somehow don't relate to this serial anymore. Ishwari is seemingly unreal and Dev annoyingly foolish. No mother ignores her child's pain. And here Ishwari has seen multiple instances of a disturbed Dev and yet she convinces herself that Dev has moved on and it is only the office stress thats taking a toll on him. How convenient ?

The CVs have thrown Ishwari & Dev's characters to the dogs and they have to come up with something impressive to redeem this mother-son duo unless they are planning to show remakes of Darr/Dhadkan and those umpteen movies which had stalking, psychopath lovers.

Excellent post👏👏
I was wondering the same thing. Dev is not in a good place. I mentioned this on another post as well, if you replace shaheer with any tom dick or Harry, all of this quickly turns from romantic to creepy.
His calling Sonakshi to the restaurant, blatantly taking advantage of her dedication towards her work, torturing her by reminding her of her old memories, only to satisfy himself she hasn't moved on yet. That is sadistic behaviour.
You won't believe, when I heard the last line of the episode, 'Jab tak mein tumse pyaar karta hun tum kisi aur se pyaar nahi kar sakti ' this was the song that immediately came into my mind. specially coz of the recent segments and his continously growing obsession with Sona.
In between all this, he still hasn't taken the time out to think about how much he is to blame for putting Sonakshi through this pain. For casting her aside in less than a minute.
I do derive a sadistic pleasure from watching Dev suffer, but all said and done, I do hope they don't glorify his behaviour and actually show that he realizes what a mess he has created and actually takes some steps towards correcting it.

Oh what a beautiful piece of writing. Loved how you describe Dev. The beauty of KRPKAB is the collective effort of all the artists in the back ground. I actually dont give much credit to the onscreen artists, but the the people behind the scenes are the real heroes, coz no one can mouth such dialogues if not written by a talented writer, no one can act the scenes, if not directed by a talented director, and no one and present such a beautiful love story, with out the producers believing in their baby project. I agree the actors, add the flavour, but KRPKAB is product of some real good choices by the directors and producers and the choice to just creativity flow without any curb.
What a song?so apt and so true. I am gonna add this to my Ipad soon.

I forgot to add, as audience of KRPKAB we have a very mature and sensible audience 😉
