No doubt our Dev is a powerful and influential man, while Rithvik seems to be maybe an upper middle class man. Dev could make or break dreams of people like Rithvik.

Dev is not in the mood of moving on or letting Sona move on. And when he finds out that the engagement hasn't even happen, he may go to lengths to make sure it never happens.

Could he get Rithvik's loan denied, ruining his dreams of opening up a clinic? I can just imagine how furious Sona would be at him for this.
