1) Shakti v/s Arjun :
Shakti - He was good when the performance started. I absolutely loved the cartwheel. It was smooth and looked effortless. Though there was a step that he had to do with his feet where I found him and his choreo partner off sync but overall he performed well in duet.
Arjun - He was energetic throughout the act with his partner. I found few of his steps unclear as he tried to put a lot of energy due to which few steps got messed up. But overall it was good and showed his tremendous improvement. Bhavna is surely pushing him.
Faceoff - Shakti was energetic in the beginning but the by the end he lost his energy and completely goofed up the last step. Arjun was terrific here. It looked he was totally prepared to burn the stage with his energy. So, I felt Arjun was a bit better than Shakti in the faceoff.
Scores - 26 to both of them as I felt Shakti was a lot better in duo and Arjun in Faceoff.
2) Surveen v/s Nora :
Surveen - She executed the performance very well though I thought the signature step of Ek do teen song should have been replaced with something else as it looked repetitive the second time she did it. Expressions were on point and very good energy.
Nora - Her duet looked more of a seduction than a dance performance. I know the song was like that but they should have done something more than just rolling on the floor and sticking their bodies to each other. But whatever was the choreographyshe delivered it well.
Faceoff - Surveen's energy was on some other level but even Nora wasn't so bad herself. Both were good but I think Surveen was a little clear with her steps
Scores - 27 to Surveen as I did not find any "wow" factor in her act to give her a 29 and neither did I find Nora so bad to be worth less than 3 points to Surveen. A 26 to Nora was perfect. Surveen was overscored for a performance as simple as this. Going by this scoring then Shantanu should have been scored a 30 for Baby ka Bass as the choreography was tough with lots of small tricks and wow factors.
Now comes the performance for which I was eagerly waiting.
3) Shantanu v/s Salman :
Salman - Perfect in duet. No flaws whatsoever.
Shantanu - I don't know why people are going so hard on him here. I did not find so manyyy flaws in his performance as people are saying except for one major misbalance in the lift. The portion after the misbalance looked off as if he was bothered about the misbalance at the back of his mind. I absoultely loved his jump in the start of the performance. It was so smooth and the finishing was clean af. Alisha was without heels which is a strict No-No for Latin forms. It looked odd.
Faceoff - Shantanu was perfect here. No flaws whatsoever. Period.
Salman was stiff especially the part where they had to keep their hands still and move their legs from left to right and back again. He couldn't move his legs properly. And then there was one portion where they had to stomp their left foot on the ground and give a pop and then point towards their left leg while giving it a small pop. Salman completely skipped the last pop there. This is Krump and Krump is nothing without beats and pops. I don't know how come no one noticed this major goof. And then there was also this last jump where Salman lost his balance. And I did not find Karan asking Salman to focus on his finishing now, did I?
Score - 28 to both of them. Salman was perfect in Duet whereas Shantanu was unbeatable in Krump inspite of Krump being not his forte. Let me clear this out, though Krump comes under Hip Hop but Shantanu's specialization is mainly in Popping. Though he knows all of the major forms of hiphop but I haven't seen him doing much of Krumping. Krumping is Nimit's baby, not Shantanu's. And they should have been given equal scores because as Salman's loss of balance was overlooked, so, Shantanu's misbalance should have been overlooked too. But judges are being so blatantly biased towards Salman, it's useless to expect fair judgement from them.
After this episode, I have no expections from Jhalak. The winner is going to be Salman as it is obvious by the way they are treating him. And frankly I don't care who wins.
Also, I know I said I will analyse all performances but considering the fact Helly, Harpal and Sidhant are already eliminated, it's pointless to speak about their performance. I don't mean to sound harsh but practically it's of no use. About Karishma, she needs improvement is all I can say.
P.S I am so glad Shantanu is doing NBC and Jennifer Lopez's show - World of Dance. It's a shame that Jhalak is treating a World Champ who is bringing accolades for India in this manner.
