Just when I was thinking that the CVs have lost the plot, what with those awful twists and turns lately.. they give us this??.👏👏

Yesterday I wrote about Sona ending up being second best compared to Ishwari as far as Dev is concerned. Today she put all those doubts to rest.

Remember the hospital scene where Ishwari calmly/(coldly?) says that "kuch rishte bante hi hai toot be ke like". To say that to a person who is already crushed was really cold. They say the opposite of love is hate. I think it's apathy. Ishwari appeared to be apathetic/indifferent to Sonas misery. How must it feel at the receiving end of indifference when you are in so much pain.

I thought that Sona wanted to check on Dev and hence the visit scene appeared contrived yesterday.

How wrong I was.

This girl, who knew of Ishwari's dislike of her(relation with Dev) had the courage to go see the same person and tell her (..oh those lines were phenomenal..so I darent mangle them by paraphrasing them, so I will just say "those lines") those lines. I can't even begin to imagine the courage it would take to do so.

And those lines were just perfect. For the first time she takes Ishwari and GKB to the task in such a calm and matured way, those 2 looked like kids who just got caught stealing from a cookie jar. GKB with her yelling, against Sona, looked like an idiot who brings a knife to a gunfight. Felt vindicated for all those slights towards Sona.

Yeah, I now I have no worries about Sona holding her own in Dixit mansion.

And here we have Dev. A stalker by Sonas own admission, yet to grow a pair. Hopefully the CVs will give him the redemption his char desperately needs.

Did I say I loved the episode??

Yes the whole Sona-Ishwari-GKB scene was phenomenal.
I wasn't expecting Sona to actually be this fierce.
I was like whoaa mann..
Each and every dialogue that she had, brilliant it was
"Main Dev ko 3 mahine mein itna jaan gayi hun jitna aap 28 saal mein nai jaan paye"
"Sahi kaha aapne. Main ab yaha kaam nai karti isliye aap dono ki baatein samjhna zaruri nai samajhti."
Kudos 👏
I actually liked it more than the DevAkshi scene

after all the twitter reviews, we could not resist seeing the episode online. just one word for the episode - Awesome and one of the best.

the episode called for a discussion on what entails good story telling. it is grip on dialogues, timing of sequences, visuals that emote and make a connect and then consistency. it had all of the three. The dialogues were outstanding, the emoting was so spot on.. While most were praising Erica, what about Supriya! Man.. her expressions made the most connect and showed the impact of what Sona was telling her.. then the way the dialogues of Sona were rendered by Erica.. no theatrics, no extra histrionics, just simplicity and power packed.

There was a moment of tension at home though when GKB went to fetch the glass of water. We thought that some accidental event would take place where GKB will throw that water on Sona and she being young and agile, will put herself behind Ishwari... and then SPLASH.. Ishwari full of water!! alas, it was not to be.. GKB too was shown to be speaking the truth to Ishwari, albeit unknowingly.

there is enormous power in simplicity and it always wins. even when KRPKAB started, we were told it is a simple story and see the impact it has made. One does not need to resort to gimmicks, extras, sideys. loop lines... they need to just KISS it. ( Keep it simple silly). They also need to be watchful of consistency in story telling. It does not have to be a long drawn serial. As long as it stays with us long after it is aired, it is enough.

Sona is one person who understands every member of the Dixit family. Ishwari's insecurities, GKB's conniving nature, Vicky's lecherous behaviour, Dev's fear of his mom when it comes to his own life, etc, etc. In fact, she has the solution to every of the Dixit's problems. as amply shown in the past when she fixed Neha's insistence on a particular lehenga. She an fix anything and anybody in the Dixit house. She can probably write her own version of "taming the shrew"".

and the final moments where Dev is taught not to behave like a 15 year old but behave at least like Mamma's boy and to ask her permission before doing anything. Hard words but true. We all feel sad and bad for Dev as his character is so badly ruined. From a man, he is now shown behaving like a baby with diapers. How unfair.

The episode belonged, first all of to the dialogue writers, and then the actors, Erica and Supriya.

Our family Question of the day to CV's and to Sona - Do you think that by telling you want to marry someone else, will, your boy, Dev, become a man?

I think whatever sonakshi is doing now she is doing out of anger. She is deciding to get marry n move forward in her life. But its blessing in ddisguise. This will make Dev more insecure which ultimately make his mother. They both will realise Sonakshi's importance.. i don't think she is doing wrong. She doesn't have any hope from Dev. That's why she decided to move forward.

While I agree with the rest of the post, the emotion here is not anger but despair. Anger wouldn't make her cry on ritiks shoulder. More of despair, helplessness at the situation (remember unlucky). She knows Dev loves her. She also understands his love for Ishwari. It's the helplessness of the while situation that is kind of making her move on even though she doesnt want to.
