Well I was thinking the same when she was feeling shy after the phone call with Akshay.
Her pride, self respect or being angry was only a ploy to attract Akshay and she has achieved great success.
The culprit here is indeed Akshay who told her that his wedding is only on paper and he has nothing to do with Vijaya.

OK i'm back after some time... sorry to say but this show is becoming disgusting day after day... hw can akshay say smthing like that... no matter wat the relation b/w a husband & wife is, no spouse will ever agree to their partner's extra marital affair... i had so much hope frm this show... now i have only one word for this show DISGUSTING... akshay is cheating both vijaya & neeti... vijaya should open her eyes & see wat double faced guy her so called husband is... only thing now i want frm this show is that vijaya should give a tight slap to akshay & take neeti & leave... and also kick out both akshay & nandhini frm nursing home...
