These 11 PM-ish episodes give me so many feels that cannot be defined in mere words, yet here I attempt to do so - to decode the man and woman I have cherished to watch on-screen, and continue to do so even today.

I have to say something before beginning the main part of this post though, that I think almost everyone here knows, yet I feel I need to disclose before I start gushing. I'm biased towards Raman Kumar Bhalla, a bit more than Ishita Raman Bhalla, even though I understand her very well.

Having said that, I confess I simply love Ishita in this track ❤️

Odd, isn't it? When Raman is being the sweet, loving, caring, supportive husband, why Ishita then?

The answer lies in the originality of YHM that once was. Here was a female lead, scarred, yet upstanding, who was as fierce as the Jhansi ki Rani, yet who made mistakes like us mortals, and who then owned upto her mistakes and worked on them. She wasn't the be-all-and-end-all devi from the very beginning. She was human, realistic and relatable. She ran away with her kid when she thought there was the danger of separation. She put spy cams in her son's room when she thought the teenager was dating his classmate. She brought her husband's drunk ex-wife home in the middle of the night and made her sleep in their room on their bed. All these actions made her human, someone capable of committing mistakes, realizing them the next day, and making amends.

Unlike the previous family-feud-ending-with-packagaing-juice track, where she just swooped in to run her husband's business only to face unrealistic obstacles like enemy mixing poison in the boxes, or the dentist-turned-obstetrician who just went into Vandu's labour room and relieved her of her child birthing pain; This Ishita is like the olden days - who struggled at making chicken but had to / wanted to for her family, who didn't want to deliver her neighbour's baby until she was coaxed to because she had better knowledge than others.

This Ishita wants to take this job up to help her husband, who in turn is taking care of their youngest kid so that she can come close to her daughter, be Pihu's mother they had imagined her to be. She is not swooping in the office, emo-blackmailing workers and managing orders as yet. She's scared and nervous. She's jittery because she knows this isn't her cup of tea, and she doesn't shy away in either sharing her fears with Adi-Aliya-Mihir or asking for help from them and from her husband. She's so afraid of ruining his hard work of years, so afraid of taking this challenge on that for a few moments she literally begs Raman to come back to office, forgetting Pihu and the situation. She understand why investors would be concerned since she's a newcomer and has zero experience. She's experiencing all human emotions anyone in her place would and she's sharing them. This is such a breathing relief from the crocodile-fighting-ghost-playing Ishita they made us witness.

It is only when her capabilities as a woman are questioned that she fights back, never riding on the fact that her husband's a great businessman, never pretending that she knows it all and can do it all. She has been hidden in the dirt of dramatic twists and turns for so long, that I almost heaved a cry of happiness on seeing her getting at 4 am and studying, and telling Raman where she was faltering and taking his help, and pleading with him to come back to office because she was afraid.

This is the woman who is so inspiring because she truly does. She was Raman's Ishita, not the smiling sacrificial queen, but the one who not only revels in her qualities but also accepts her shortcomings and does not try to be the saviour all alone.

Now coming to Raman - RKB had his wife's back and how!

Away from those yelling monstrosities of times in between, here was a man who was his woman's best friend, critique, well-wisher, support and motivator - all at once. From convincing the lady in question itself, to the family, to ultimately taking a stand for her amidst professional commitments - This was RKB out and out, making his Ishita understand why she needed to do this, encouraging her to go ahead, believing in her when she herself seemed unsure, and to give her the cushion to just go and try and win it, for herself, and for them.

He was not just a great husband today, but an amazing father too. One whose kids' happiness and well-being is at the forefront. He knows how difficult this is going to be for Ishita, to handle a project of this magnitude with no business experience. But he ALSO knows every moment Pihu spends away from her mother, it is this very Ishita that suffers. Deep down inside he knows it was his fault that the symbol of their love is unaware of her very existence, and he wants to do everything in his power to turn that part around now. He needs to be his daughter's confidante and her hero, like he was once for Ruhi, to get her to understand the complexities of their entangled lives.

He was the quintessential RKB from YHM 1.0 One who grabbed Suraj's collar in Batra's Clinic when he insulted Ishita and her work. One who unthinkingly gave up his presidency for her license. One who praised Ishita on stage in front of the entire society for being a superwoman. He was everything I have always loved about him, and always will. He was Ishita's Raman, no not the gushy romantic husband who makes us all drool, but the pillar she can always lean back on in difficult times, and the mirror she can always check her inner strengths reflected in.

I don't know what's in store for the next few days, but watching the original Raman and Ishita come alive once again after ages is an emotion better experienced than spoken about.

How I love your write ups Nids. And I totally agree with every word.

IshRa are being and shown as their true selves. Raman, is the ever supportive, trusting, loving husband who has always encouraged her to do the best in her career, who confidently signed away his company to her and even now is encouraging her to learn work and manage his office.. And then Ishita... she's been shown so out of character for so long that its a blessing in disguise to see her be normal, human. She isn't being over confident of managing the business knowing she hasn't mastered skills in that sphere but in another she chose for herself years ago. She is ready to learn better, and at the same time is worried and tensed about making mistakes.

She leans for support on Raman and he does the same with her. They are doing each other's jobs and hence do not hesitate in taking guidance from each other.

What stands out here is that even after being apart for 7 years when they are back together, they pick up from where they left off. Their dependency and trust on each other never withers.

Ishita is ready to fight the world for Raman and her family, and Raman is ready to give up on all to do what it takes to keep Ishita and his kids happy. He realizes that it's his mistake because of which Pihu knows nothing about Ishita and even hates her. And it's because of that guilt that he is not even bothered about losing a contract because his only focus is Pihu who he wants to bring closer to her mother.

I don't know how long this all shall last, but as long as the main leads characters stay true to their original fabric I have no complains.

Excellent post nidhi..😛..and it explains why this track reminds me of my all time favorite 11pm yhm track..aka the license track...both ishita and raman firmly in character. .and better still firmly by each other's side...she can go to any length for his professional dignity and he can go to any extent to get her what she deserves...the love of her child. .'their dream' rather.
And your last line sums it all up..words are just not enough. ..i keep pinching myself nowadays whole watching YHM..it suddenly feels like it 2014 all over again😛...

Sharing a small rambling I just did on sris thread. .this one is more about the RKB we witnessed today😛

Some stuff that came to mind after watching today's epi..
As I said earlier. .RKB is a changed man now...very confident of going to any externt to get pihu and ishita together. ..business is now secondary...

It was sc very tough to justify why raman couldn't go meet the client and sort this out ..ans I never thought it could be convincing..but the whole scene between raman and ishita and raman's every line about why at this time pihu was his priority and since they had decided to take up each other's role it was important that ishita handle this on her own ..somehow made sense...it was a way of empowering ishita while also reminding both of then that both their jobs..that of a being a parent to pihu and of managing a business /customer was equally important and hence only one of them should focus on each and share responsibility. ..

The way raman held ishita by her shoulders and told her he has complete faith in her ability to get this dome..that 'I trust you' was so intense and clapworthy..it was powerful scene delivered very well...reminded me of that scene when shagun calls the judge home during param track and raman holds ishita by his side and says he will never let het go...kabhi nahi...😳..today he claimed ishita again in front of the whole family and told her how proud and sure he was that she will never let him or 'them' fail...jab tak hum saath hai..hum sabka saamna kar sakte hai'...so true..

I loved the small scene of raman with both father's and again telling them how kuch faith he had in ishita. .he gave an apt comparison. .and the fact that ishita is smart , hardworking and we'll qualified. .it's just a matter of persisting and she woukd be able to achieve it..the way he asked the father's to help keep up her morale was awww worthy. ..

And finally the ruthless RKB ..in the scene with shagun we saw a glimpse but it was even better in the few seconds whrn b he walked in clapping after JKR band bajaoed singhal😆
And the precap was pure unadulterated 11pm RKB...raising stakes to show his confidence while also humiliating the man who dared humiliate his wife...can't wait to watch😳😛

I m so so glad ishita is not superwoman here..she us behaving the way a new comer in business does...she is nervous lack of confidence scared to ruin his reputation bcs she knows she is inexperienced ...she asks for help she needs him to guide her to support her..

I m too bised towards RKB. Hahaha..
V hv gotten the 11 pm rkb in this track..
He continously encouraging her showung faith in her boosting her confidence standing up for her against anyone dares to humiliates her...n the best part is he knows wat blunder he has done by hiding her identity ftom their symbol of love ..he knows she doesnt say bt shattered wen her own daughter rejects her...now he is determined to get them together even at tge cost of his business ...he is not here only for romancing..he is pillar of ishita now..this track reminds me licence track n i m enjoying it!!

Thanks Bhairavi 😊

License track was amazing for it gave us a lot of undercurrents about how their relationship was developing, and yes this does have a similar touch to it 😳

So true!

That IshRa moment was as unexpected as it was beautiful. He reminded her of why they were doing this and expressed his confidence so strongly. It was a delight to watch!

This goes back to the old YHM too, where family WAS involved, they didn't fight all alone. That scene with the fathers was so poignant. It was also symbolic in a way that the out of the elders who could guide Ishita at this time, their fathers were the one who had been involved in working so to say, while the mothers have mostly been home-makers. Raman convincing them to boost her confidence in a way will validate her self-esteem too, coming from the retired people 😳 Although I would have seriously loved Vandu-Bala guiding her too, but then they're nowhere to be seen now-a-days 😔 I better not crib though, else CVs will take even these small things away 😆

And finally the ruthless RKB ..in the scene with shagun we saw a glimpse but it was even better in the few seconds whrn b he walked in clapping after JKR band bajaoed singhal😆

You know the precap reminded me of RKB's dialogue to Shagun-Ashok-Suraj during license track - "Meri biwi ke license par aisi sau presidentship qurbaan" It gave me goosebumps then, it thrilled me now!

I do not want to get my hopes up, but watching episode after episode like this makes me as nervous as Ishita, and I don't even have my own RKB to handle my fears 😆 😆

Thanks for your take Pb 😳

Thanks Poonam 😳

It is truly shaping up to be one of my most favorite tracks post YHM 1.0 It is so good I wanna cry 😭 😆

Ishita is Ishita, not a devi. Raman is Raman, not a monster. This is as good as they can get now. It just gives me immense pleasure in knowing the kind of couple Ishita & Raman of the nok-jhok times have evolved into ❤️

Makes me think had it not been for DivAn, would YHM have been the same ?
